Dell Tech Support and Customer Care are deplorable.
Example:
I had a customer come to the kiosk saying the tech broke his computer. He bought a Dimension 9100. Now this guy was a nice older gentleman that I could relate too. He said he was getting a wierd error message when his computer booted up and didn't know what it meant, he would close it out and then the comp would boot fine. He told me he called tech support and the tech told him it was because he had a RAID 0 HDD combo, and.. get this.. TOLD HIM TO SWITCH TO RAID 1 BECAUSE IT WOULD BE BETTER!
Obviously the customer obeyed and switched his HDD configuration to RAID 1 and thus making the computer not boot at all. The techs and customer care refused to admit to their error and told him after numerous calls that they would give him $100 for his troubles. Not offer to fix anything, or help him get his data back at all which he desperately needed.
