I think you'll find a great deal more ambiguity than integrity OR winning at Dell.
"Winning with integrity" is something they say to see who snickers, then fire them. It means you're not dealing with ambiguity! _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

| Wow you speak good English for someone from India. You are from India right? I didn't think Dell hired anyone from any other countries. Maybe I just had bad luck and the 20 people I talked to were the only ones from India. |

They have enough info at this point to have identified you. Since it is against corporate policy to post here, you will soon find that your "performance on the job" is not up to par. Let the paranoia begin. |

BancTec also had quotes like that. They spent millions on an Indy race car in 05-06 (after giving everyone a 20% pay cut), so they made up the phrase, "Pick up the pace!". Oh, I get it!
Lines and slogans like those are merely there to keep middle-management hired and seemingly useful. Just like the reasons they keep moving deck chairs around the titanic. Thankfully BancTec ITSM has finally sunk...dhell is just a matter of time.
Everywhere I go, fixing HP's and Acers and Apples, customers say they'll never buy another Dhell.
Edit: And this shows that Dell is dying. Hard and fast. 54% drop in revenue this quarter.

| Uh...100pcob, if you think Banktek ITSM is gone, think again. It's called Qualxserv. I hear it's Banktek running that company now. |

Qualtek. Bancserv. They're both pirates. Isn't the fact they're contracted to Dell enough to tell you? _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

BancTec ITSM division may have been bought by qualxserv, and several BSC managers are still around...but QXS is still calling many of the shots. Several of the "good ol' boys" from banctec days have been shown their pink slips for getting too confrontational with the new QXS management.
Both companies had an intense rivalry for many years...but they're both cut from the same cloth. QXS buying BSC was a match made in field service hell. |

For those who don't know, Banctec, like Unisys, is a sleazy revival of a failed once-impressive company.
Once there were 5 large-scale computer companies: IBM, Burroughs, Sperry Univac, Remington Rand, and Control Data. Sperry, Burroughs and Remington glommed themselves together into Unisys. It was still viable as a DOD contractor as late as 1990, but not long after that. They either royally screwed up a project, or got caught in fraud, or both.
About the same time or a little earlier, Control Data was failing. CD's products competed eye-to-eye or better with IBM's, but evidently their business plan didn't. CD was home to Cray, inventor of the supercomputer, and (I think) Shughart, inventor of the floppy drive. Shughart got caught in a Famous Amos type deal, lost the right to use his own name, restructured as Seagate.
Banctec was one of CD's last successful divisions and as CD failed Banctec spun itself off. Successful at what you might ask? Banctec invented magnetic ink character recognition used by every bank in the world. But evidently they were only as good as their last patent, and when that expired there was nothing behind it. They decomposed into the corrupt shell-game of a service company you see today. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

| Rocket_T...maybe Bunktek's "failures" weren't failures at all. Maybe they were structured demolitions, like a deliberately imploded building. After all, the CEO's and CFO's of big companies like Bunk make their big bonuses by slash and burn. Since they took over those Qualxserv misfits it's adding up to be another cluster-F. |

By hook or by crook, they failed to thrive even with a huge running start. Once the fall was inevitable, sure the demolition was scripted.
I know two other demolition stories of huge, leading companies in their fields, Westinghouse, and Ampex. Westinghouse held the original patents on distributed electricity, Ampex held the patents on video recording. Both mismanaged themselves to death. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist
