TEWKSBURY, Mass., January 27, 2010 – QualxServ LLC, a global leader in delivering technology services and solutions, today announced that it is re-launching the company as Worldwide TechServices. Capitalizing on more than 50 years of delivering the industry's leading technology services and solutions, the new name reflects the company's global expertise in the technology services market.
"Since its founding in 2000, QualxServ's exceptional team of employees has been committed to ensuring our clients get the highest levels of customer service and business value in the technology industry," said Brendan P. Keegan, President and CEO. "QualxServ pioneered the concept of delivering cost effective technology services and solutions for organizations of all sizes. Re-launching as Worldwide TechServices more accurately communicates how focused we are on providing the next generation of the world's leading technology services and solutions."
QualxServ, which was founded by former Wang Laboratories employees, has been actively building its business on a global level. In January 2009, it acquired BancTec's ITSM division which provided comprehensive deployment and maintenance services for computers, servers, printers, peripherals and networks for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and information technology outsourcing (ITO) service providers in North America and Europe.
Today, Worldwide TechServices provides Infrastructure and Professional Services in over 50 countries and has more than 3,000 service technicians with over 250,000 certifications on a variety of technologies and platforms. They have invested in a technology infrastructure to support their commitment to service excellence. Their clients include the world's leading technology providers and outsourcers.
The new branding and logo will appear in all company advertising, documentation, and client communications. A newly re-branded web site and URL at www.wwts.com is being launched today as well. The new web site features improved documentation, functionality, search, maps, language support and additional tools that will make it easier for clients and prospects to do business with Worldwide TechServices.

Clearly press release, not journalism. This struck me: | Quote: | | more than 50 years of delivering the industry's leading technology services | followed by | Quote: | | Since its founding in 2000 | Amazing how time passes. All the while Qualxserv itself never did ANYthing.
I think they use the same math to calculate paying the people who actually do the work. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

Sign of a bad company: having to change their name four times in twelve years:
1950' 60's 70's 80's & 90's: Wang Laboratories (to 1999)
2000's: Getronics
2000's: Qualxserv
2010's: WWTS
Re-branded s--- still smells like s--- it just takes longer for the paint to dry cuz they had to paint over all the other logos.
My favorite is the tech to cert ratio: 3,000 employees and 250,000 certifications...average of 80 (presumably) DCSE Dell certs per tech. Sad. Get paid $22.50 per call and live on Dell's cert website taking open-book tests.
It would take about five thousand of those useless certs to equal the effort and workforce net-worth of a CCIE (and twenty thousand of them to equal a college degree). |

Rocke,
It is the same math Dell uses to figure off bonus pay out. The more you make the less you work, the bigger the bonus. Work hard, get paid hourly with no OT and watch your bonus be next to nothing, if you get a bonus.
If Dell would just publish the formula, we could all get a look at it and see how it violates all rules of science. _________________ rustyboots (i use to slave at dell) |

Internally Dell violates all the rules of group psychology, the last sociological science I studied. That was 40+ years ago, but the premises haven't changed that much so's I can tell. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

The work orders haven't changed. They still use a QXS Ref#. That and a serious lack of information about just what I should be replacing onsite. _________________ Dell, IBM, Sony, Lexmark, A+, Net+, for what purpose I don't know sometimes. |

| Uh...actually the name was changed to hide the real thing going on here. The merger was a hostile takeover of Qualx by Banktech. And it shows too. Qualx got all these fuckup Banktech managers including executives and its a real fucking joy with these micromanagers. They're driving the employees nuts and morale is in the tank. There is very little left of Qualx. This company is now Banktech. Oh FUCK ! |
