I recently acquired a V505 printer and need help setting it up on a wired network. I tried calling Dell and they wanted to charge me for it and the damn things still in warranty. _________________ Frustrated Former Dell Customer

The reason for this is every network is different. So someone has to take the time to figure out yours to make it work properly. Dell is selling a printer, not support for your network. If you want support for your network they'll sell you that too ( probably through Dell on call) , whether or not they help you. They'll sell you the air you breath too, whether or not they can actually provide any. Or if you just dont want to buy anything they'll just add it to your "DFS" account and ship the product to their buddies. Oh I'm sure you'll yell and scream but in the end they'll not refund your money and send collections agents against you for product you never ordered, recieved or authorized.
They make the mafia...look ethical.
Look up a local independant tech inyour area it'll be faster and cheaper. If there are none I sometimes do consultations by phone or remote desktop..but I also charge for my time.

I've never been happier since making myself my own boss. I hated Dell when I was there and still do. I do hope Mikey ends up in front of a judge.
