Well here goes another rant against dell (intentionally not capitalized)
On Friday Feb 20th I called Dell. I spoke with a CSR who stated he was located in Nashville, his name might have been Charles. Regardless, I got the impression, based on his tone of voice, that he couldn't possibly care less about assisting me in selecting a PC.
After about 20 minutes of this indifferent discussion, which was informative to me and helped me select a PC, he asked if he could place me on hold for a minute, I agreed; at which time the line was disconnected.
Evidently Dell doesn't need our trivial business, which he was well aware represented an 80 system purchase.
Being an optimistic person, I called back and asked to speak with a Supervisor. At first the Supervisor seemed to care, until he stated he could not help me and that someone would have to call me back on monday. When I explained the scope of the purchase, that I had specifically allocated this time to accomplish this goal and that I was not going to wait until monday; the line was disconnected.
Being a realistic person, I would have to agree that disconnecting an obnoxious pain in the neck customer has happened in todays' society, after all; we can always claim it was an accident ~ right?! With that being said, this was not the case, I remained professional and polite, never willing to lower myself to thier lack of integrity.
Summary: Congratulations dell, you have chased away a Customer who was needing to purchase 80 systems . . .
Future in two words: Circuit City ?!?!

Did you call the business sales dept? They only work mon-fri 8-5 so if you call outside of their business hours you're SOL.
The guy in nashville (and the supervisor) were probably home sales people who aren't allowed to sell large volume orders. Which is stupid, yes, but they'd get in big trouble for it because then they'd be way over quota and dell would have to pay the sales rep, and we can't have that. |

I would take the fact that you didn't get to buy Dhell computers as a Godsend blessing! Go shop the competitors and get a better system and for certain Better service and NO Dhell Hell! _________________ Former employee of Dell and can say that they
