Can see why gmail got hit as it is prolific and of course belongs to Google. Wouldn't be shocked to find Microsoft was behind those bots being as they'd love to squash Google. lol

Main thing I like about Gmail is that it has the best SPAM filter of the web based mail I've used so far. I mean, Yahoo sux, as does Hotmail in that way. Rarely do I find something slipped by Gmail though. Only wish our ISP used as good of filter, but they use Barracuda, and it's far from perfect.

I'm sure most sleaze comes from over seas (ewe, that rhymed), but no doubt we have our fair share here too. Generally I could care less about porn, online or otherwise, but it attracts an element I don't care for. No surprise it encompasses a range anywhere from Warez to SPAM and everything between. I'd like it to be sandboxed from those who want nothing to do with it, and I feel your pain. It's hard enough to moderate a forum without watching out for trash too. Must seem a thankless job, but without a sentinel nobody could enjoy using forums. So... thanks for doing it.

So that means to express my frustration aginst my dell mechine, i need to give up my gmail id...

Well, you made it in, didn't you? You don't have to give up anything, just acquire an email account OTHER than gmail.
