I personally don't believe anything good I hear about DELL anymore. I reckon it's more than likely bought-and-paid-for BS.

If I hear something negative about DELL, I always assume it's true.

I've always questioned the independence and objectivity of these reviews for dhells products and services. The products and services in reality always seem to be.. well.. u know.. crap!

Jobs and apple got the reality distortion field, u see the product and u go wow! this is cool and fresh. dhell have what i call the $#!t realization field.. when u see the product, u realized that u just bought yo self a POS.

Its extremly easy for them to claim they have the fastest growing shares in storage managment and shit... hmmm when you start at 0 and you suddenly have five users... if my math is correct and someone tell me its not... isn't that a 500% increase ... well golly thats a lot. Dell looks great due to the smoke and mirror games they play... they don't tell you the original numbers they are playing with nor do they release the finishing numbers of actual... they tell you the percentage.. its a stat .. stats can be manipulated in any way to make them say Dells doing great... you could the same info and show that dell is actually not making the leaps and bounds it is

Why doesn't everyone get a mac?
They look so much cooler, they do alot more, and they are similarly priced to a dell. They just don't creat a fake sense of value.
A basic mac = A top of the line dell.

loismustdie is on the money here. My next computer and stock purchase will be an Apple. No doubt. The stock purchase is sooner than you think because it is trading at what I consider an attractive price right now (although it was a lot more attractive a couple days ago). But the bottom line is this. I am tired of acquiring an asset with a dell badge on it. Why? Let's talk about anyone's last dell computer purchase.... Nuff said. You ended up with an overpriced, ugly, POS computer. A term that I have recently used to describe any dell machines: Godiva covered poop.

The case about the stocks: Anyone who have been holding dell stocks for the last 3 years knows this.. $40-$20-$15-? And guess what? This includes an accounting scandal. For the record, very very few publicly traded company have ever recovered from an accounting scandal. And I won't be betting on michelle dhell's leadership against Steven Jobs's. Why? Jobs and Apple shareholder have interest that are nicely alligned. This definetely shows in the stock price even in our most current market downturn. I am a little surprise that dhell's accounting scandal didn't blow up as big as I thought it would.

Oh a little bonus: I doubt michelle is really that smart. His most recent 100M purchase of dhell shares have been immediately reduced by about 5$/share in the last couple days. I thought this was a lame attempt to convey confidence to the investing public.

If Dell is so great where is Dell on this list.

Yes folks are having layoffs at other companies and cutting back but Dell is really putting a beating on everything for their workers.

The other companies at least try to make it more bearable for the rest that stay. Dell just dangles the "you'll lose your job" above your head while taking away any perk you have for working for them.

By the way Dell really has no perks. Look at the perks on that list of best places to work.

Dell is run more like a prison. IN fact our food provider also supplies food for prisons! Funny right?

Just answer why Dell is not on that Forbes list if it's so great!
