ALL customer service, tech support and anyone on the phone should be in the USA ONLY! No india, no phillipeans, no any other country.

ALL tech support personnel should have degrees (college) in computers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, dell only cares about one thing and one thing only...money!

Well I hate to sound like I'm pointing fingers here, but let's be realistic, the consumers (you) are obviously only concerned with money too or they wouldn't be buying from Dell to begin with.

I agree that USA support should mainly be in the USA. Not the entire worlds support in the USA. Support for a country should mainly be in that country but unless you live in India its not going to happen!

Want tech support to stay in a country near you? Want your techs to speak a language that you can understand?

Not gonna happen. As long as consumers want cheap PCs... which isn't a bad thing... companies will cut costs wherever they can. That means quality and support. God forbid they should take in less profits, right?

(You paid $1600 for a DELL? What's wrong with you? Haven't you read anything on this forum?)

My wife's HP came out to $1300 CDN and that was with extra RAM (4GB total now), a 512 nVidia card and 19 inch Viewsonic monitor. And a total of 3 years warranty between the store, manufacturer and VISA Gold. The thing is awesome fast... and I'm thinking of upgrading the video card to one with a gig 'o RAM. Plus.. we won't have to call HP for anything but a return... If we ever need one... And I doubt we will.

If it were a DELL, it'd broken down already.

And... I bought it while I was working at DELL. What does that tell you about DELL's products, folks? Even there own employees don't trust the crap they sell.

I don't know anybody who would buy a post-2001 Dell, whether they worked there or not. Bad things are wrong with Dell products. And that discounts their operations. What more do we have to say?

It's you guys who through 200 years have promoted capitalism, to the point of giving out money to other countries to fight communism or invading those countries by yourselves...

Democracy is nothing but the perfect government system for corruption.

On the other hand, we should look inside of us. When I call my cellphone service provider I get a brazilian lady who can barely speak Spanish and everything she tells me is from a script. Do I start whining and crying about it? No...I do my best, to make my Spanish as clear as possible and I work with her to solve my problem.
I don't think I fucking own the world and the guy on the other side of the line must help me no matter what. So to all of you, try to contribute with your two cents. (last sentence is wrong...don't know how to express my idea...hope you get my point.)

I edited this like three times... I've opted to just shut up because it'll fall on deaf ears.

Have you read Das Kapital Question

If you didn't, read it and come back. I won't talk to ignorants.

HP Small Business doesn't have a single computer with a decent nVidia card. Dell does. Maybe they last but you can't get a decent video card...they are all configured with Quadro 256MB. I don't know how you got a 512MB nVidia card. Dell is doing one smart thing: selling the XPS through Small Business. I do not want to do business with HP Home division anymore than I would do business with Dell's Home division. The only decent looking HP's are in the home division and there HP FORCES you to accept Norton installed. Norton cannot be removed from a computer without reformatting. HP's Small Bus division puts no AV on the computer so you can put the one you want on there with no problems from Norton that you could not fully remove.

HP will not install XP Pro 64 bit at no cost on their Home div machines. I want to invoke my downgrade rights to XP Pro if I buy a computer with Vista Business. I can do that at HP only through their Small Business div and that is where all their video cards suck big time. Plus, the warranty sucks from their Home division. It is much better through Sm Business. HP's monitors are mediocre at best. Dell has outstanding monitors (the ultra sharp line). All HP monitors still have a 5ms response time! Dell has a 24", I think it is, at 1ms. Plus, the HP's lack antireflective coating and they have a shiny black border when you need dull black.

I wish I could find a good HP machine. HP is strange because they offer (Small Bus) a gamer extreme X-Fi sound card but don't offer a good video card to go with the great sound card. That makes no sense. Then there is HP's web site. Horrible. I get a huge horizontal scrollbar there and I cannot configure a computer and look at the drop down menus when configuring to see what they offer because of how badly their website displays. Dell's website displays just fine and it is easy and enjoyable to configure a computer at Dell's site (and all the while I am wishing it was decent quality...mobo is the main problem with a Dell...the video card, sound card, CPU, etc. those are great with my current Dell and the Dell before it).

Yet you did not and bought a Dell. Lack of research on your part?
I wish I had a penny for everyone that complained about Dell and MS but still buy their products. I would be rich ten times over.

You can change the video card in an HP in about 1 minute.

What is your experience with HP Home Support and what year was that?

I have never had an issue with HP. Friendly, quick to answer questions, knowledgeable, and willing to make things right. My notebook battery failed out of the box and HP sent me two new batteries overnight with a note saying the extra battery was for my troubles. Nuff said there about HP Customer Service.

HP's web site looks fine and this is more then likely a user browser configuration issue or your using 3rd party software to filter content.

I wonder how many people wont buy another dell because of the tech support? I dont own a dell nor will I ever own a dell. Especially when I can build my own system for 500 bucks but if Dell brought their TS back to the states, It would make alot of customers happy which in turn they might buy another Dell, in the long run Dell would make money from this I think but they just want the quick buck and dont care who they screw over.
