Now commend, that's just plain wrong, and beyond editorial exaggeration. If nobody ever trusted lawyers, corporations would get away with a lot more than they get away with now.
And if one offers services on an anti-corporate website, that's perfectly appropriate. Employees ARE due severance packages under certain circumstances, under law.
Restrain yourself to the realm of objectivity, please.

I don't agree with you Rocke and I stand by statement. It's reality and it comes from my experience. I never got a severance package in my life and Lord knows I deserved it. Neither has anyone in my family or any of my friends for that matter.
And lawyers are dishonest and disreputable. Why? Because lawyers do not care about the truth. It's irrelevant to them. Or at the best, they twist the truth to their own ends. They will do anything to help themselves or their clients avoid being held accountable and suffering the consequences of their behavior. And that is despicable. The honesty and integrity of a lawyer can be found somewhere between a career criminal and a politician. |

Fortunately for me, the law disagrees with you.  And when a company shuts down a site (with certain criteria) or does mass layoffs with no warning to the employees (and thus floods the job market with people all fighting for the same job, which makes it harder to just "get a new job and get over it") they are required to pay those employees 2 months salary.
You need to calm the fuck down, Comm. Your anger is misplaced. Dell employees might want to personally deliver a brand new $5,000 computer to your door in a french maid outfit, (I know I would just to shut you up) but they're limited in what they are allowed to do and what they even have the tools and power to do. |

That is exactly the truth! That is precisely why you need a shark, headstrong, lying bastard, dramatic asshole lawyer to go to bat for you. One that has no conscience period.
One that knows every loophole in the law and makes winning the case, a very painful trip to hell for Dell!
Sorry to say Dell seems to attract gullible people who even after they have been screwed and tattooed, will still defend the company, due to some self destructive personality flaw.
The flaw probably led them to Dell to start with.

Perhaps, nashdell, you have not seen Comm's comments in other posts about how he wants to sue the pants off individual employees. Not the higher ups that make these policies, but the poor sap working stiff phone monkey that not only has to deal with his unpleasant ass, but has to sit there powerlessly because of the policies put in place by the people he SHOULD be suing. That is where I'm coming from. |

I don't need to do anything you say guest_s and you don't tell me how or where to express my anger. And you don't tell me to shut up. Who the hell do you think you are telling me what to do? Some kind of boss? You don't sign my paychecks. I'm not your puppet on a string.
Cite the statute you're talking about because here in the U.S. if you get let go by a company, all they have to give you by law is back pay due. They don't have to you shit in severance, sick pay, or holiday pay. All you're entitled to is to apply and if approved get unemployment benefits.
What Dell Inc. and their employees actually do is deliver a brand new $5,000 piece of shit to my door.
And I don't give a fuck if a porn star delivered it, it's still a piece of shit that's of no value or use to me. Nobody likes spending their money on shit.
What Dell Inc. and their employees they are supposed to do and what tools and power they have to do is to deliver me the computer I ordered, with the parts that I ordered, that ain't broken, and that works like it's supposed to. Is that to fucking much to ask?

The fish stinks from the head on down. Every single Dell employee is responsible for and complicit in Dell Inc's wrongdoing. Like mindless remote controlled robots or puppets on strings. And they say "Oh, I'm just following orders", an argument that that didn't help Lieutenant William Calley at My Lai or the Nazis at Nuremburg. My god man don't you realize Dell Inc. and its employees are hurting people? And you willfully chose to go along with it, for a little bit of money. You Dell employees disgust me. You don't give a shit what you do to customers. All you give a shit about is your lousy careers. It's about time they locked you all up in a fucking museum. Every time I leave this forum, I feel like a load is off my shoulders, got a lot off my chest. I expressed my true feelings, exposed the truth and made it know to people.
But I don't know if this forum is going to do anything about changing Dell's wicked ways.
Dell is going to keep on doing whatever the hell they want, screwing people over and nobody can do anything about it or stop them.
