Dell sold Inspiron 1525 Laptops for USD$150 in Chile

We have received during the morning numerous electronic mails of our readers, having indicated to us that this morning took advantage of the great screw up of Dell: when selecting the Dual Intel processor Core T2390 (1.86GHz, 533Mhz FSB, 1MB break) for the model Inspiron 1525 in its store in line, the price fell drastically in almost CLP$200 thousands (US$385, 243€), leaving it in the advisable price of CLP$77.790 (USD$150, 95€). That, considering that the price of entrance of this equipment is of CLP$279.001 (USD$535, 340€), is better than any subportable one than is giving returned that way.

Do not try to pillage the trick now, since the error was corrected about the 13:20 hours (GMT -4). To all the lucky people who became of the equipment, they fight because they give to them what they paid!

I'm glad Dell got burned due to their own stupidity. And I'm happy for all the Chilean people who benefited. What goes around comes around.

Dell will cancel all the orders. I've seen it happen way too many times before with site errors.

Maybe. But at least those people who already got the equipment did benefit. And theres not a damn thing Dell can do to get the money they lost on those sales back. Poof! Dell's profits turn to losses in the blink of an eye.

Site error or not, Dell should be compelled to honor the sales as-is due to advertising it at that price.

Why should the consumers be punished because some idiot put the wrong numbers up for display?
