Hey - When I started with Dell I had to sign on as an apprentice with, supposedly, all the perks that came with it. When I was doing my taxes this year, there was an area where I could've claimed a $1000.00 tax credit but I needed my Apprenticeship number - wouldn't you know it...I never received one - nor did I receive anything else from that bogus program.
I'm curious...did ANYONE receive anything legitimate from the apprenticeship program? |

matter of fact the program sent a cetificate and wallet card the other day. They should also have offered you a intereast free loan a while back for "tools" .

People are starting to receive the apprentice certificates in the mail now. Even people who never signed the necessary paperwork with Dell are getting them. That means Dell was forging signatures to get the cash grab before they head overseas. Tax credit aside for yourself the certificate doesn't do you much good unless you want to work in another high tech call center. Outside of that it's completely useless. I'll probably hold a ceremonial burning in my backyard when I get mine, might as well include my Dell dollars too, lol. |

Don't be foolish - there is going to be silent auctions for your Dell Dollars.
Also i'm going to need you to go right ahead & hold onto that certificate & use it for another call centre gig so that you're one less person out of a couple thousand or so I have to compete with for the few non-getting-fucked-in-the-ear-all-day jobs people like us actually qualify for that'd be great.... yeah.... oh - & would you like fries with that?

So I recieved a big envelope in the mail today with "apprenticeship training standard schedule of training" with this big spiel about all this wonderful training I am supposed to have recieved to go with the shiny apprentices certificate. Dated May 5 it arrived today may 20. Only problem is, it's a complete work of fraud, like all I suppose in Ottawa I didnt recieve any of this so called training. It also includes a phone number for the apprenticeship program ministry.
I intend to to report them. It really pisses me off that our government has put alot of dollars , my tAX dollars into Dells pocket for something they didnt, and clearly never intended , to do in the first place. And this document is evidence. And since I'm still technically an employee of dell...........

Anyone else getting messages on this issue from someone reporting themselves from the citizen? I did, and I know of one other who did. I frankly want to see ID and know that identities are protected, otherwise it could well be a Dell Shill trying to get some ID's on people posting here.
