| I just heard that the SMB dept in OKC is laying off all its employees. The OKC site will ONLY be used for tech support. Start looking for a job. |

Then it has started.. as "InTheKnow" had stated that SMB would take a 25% hit... and HnS is history (in the U.S.)... _________________ Released in 2008! |

who consists of smb in okc?
i wouldn't be suprised if the "fdi" team all got the boot too. considering everyone is doing printer support besides 20 "lucky" agents getting to transition to prosupport |

| Suzanne, how reliable is the source of info? I'm in smb in okc, and have been wondering when the other shoe will drop, lol. They just finished cutting the bottom 5% last week. Are you saying the entire floor is going to be laid off? que, new que, and super que? |

| I just heard this from someone higher up. But, instead of cutting out the sales reps, Dell needs to get its shit together and look at the depts that are not making any money for them (IE--HR, TRAINERS, AND OTHER non-sales positions) |

info is not quite right. there was a big round of internal hiring 1-2 months ago. about 40 or 50 positions. alot of people from "fdi" went to other departments like server, storage, etc. those positions are being backfilled. 20 people just got hired and 20 more expected soon. what remains of fdi is more that just printer support. dsp, dsp printer & cbg chat. word is they are safe for at least 2 more years. |
