The company opened the Lodz facility in January, where Dell is producing laptop computers. Now Dell is looking to increase staff, from graduate positions to manufacturing engineers, production managers and supervisors, bizpoland reports. An Ireland-based spokeswoman for Dell said that the Lodz plant employed about 1,500 people, and was operating according to plan. "The workers in Lodz include a number of managers from Limerick", where Dell employs about 3,000 people.

my prediction is that EMF in Ireland will be minimized down to production only for the UK / IRE market in the next 12 months.
The rest will be done in Poland.

If I wanted to live my life under RED TAPE, then I'd still be working for Michelle.

You make YOUR OWN judgement as to the bias of what I post, or learn to use Google.

Please post sources of material within the News section. Preferably, but does not have to be, a link to published media, it can be firsthand observation as long as the source is evident. (As in, 'I work at AM1 and I saw this.)

It is not "red tape", it is a forum convention which we all observe. Like 'driving on the right side of the road'.

Another forum convention which we all observe, is respecting the requests of moderators. Anyone who has a problem with authority when they're not 'it', is invited to start their own forum. Or overthrow the government of an island--worked for Castro.

I don't give a damn if you're a MODERATOR, COMMENTATOR, or MASTURBATOR.

I'll do whatever I please based upon my 2nd Ammendment right to FREE SPEECH, and if there are lazy asses that can't determine the legitamacy of a post, then ITS THEIR PROBLEM, NOT MINE.

You're right, I can start tomorrow:

IHATE. IHATEDELL.NET, not to mention I have the capability of making every new post on this website, let's just say, "out of context".

You want a war, then just say so.

Friend, if you "don't give a damn" then this is not the place for you.

You have no "second amendment" rights (to bear arms?) within a privately-owned enterprise.

Errant users get two warnings. You got yours.

Accounto tuyo es terminado. Comprende?

OP - In a world where most everyone assumes everything you are saying is FUD, always include the link to the article.

Here's another one:

Dell Computer, which runs a notebook PC factory in Łódź, Poland, plans to double the production capacity as well as the number of workers.

BERLIN — Dell Computer, which runs a notebook PC factory in Łódź, Poland, plans to double the production capacity as well as the number of workers, according to Invest in Poland (PAIZ), the state investment promotion agency.
This year, the company expects to open a third production line and begin work on a fourth. The added lines are expected to increase the number of employees to 2,500 from 1,200.

Notebook PC sales are soaring in Central and Eastern Europe. CEE shipments were up 26.7% in 2007, representing $8.3B in sales, according to IDC.

Going forward, Dell also intends to manufacture servers in Lodz.

Dell’s subcontractors and suppliers such as Flextronics and RR Donnelley, manufacturer of keyboards and mice, have followed the company to Łódź, PAIZ reports.

The first computer was assembled at Poland’s Dell factory in November 2007. The firm’s Polish investment is estimated at 200M euros ($310M). Supplier investment is expected to reach an additional 53M euros ($82M).
