Dell complaints

Really folks, it would look better for everyone if we stuck to hating Dell, and got off of hating the site administration.

It's an owner's perogative to operate the business he owns as he sees fit. He puts up the money and makes of it what he can, success or failure being his risk to take.

I don't know of any sites where participating moderators are paid, that's just a pipe dream. The only site I know of where moderators are paid at all is IMDB. They don't participate, and they have a very heavy workload overseeing that sprawling site which is at least 10,000 times as big as this one in terms of subscription and database size.

I was not talking literally, guess it was not clear enough.

My point is that this site was not created to run like a business. It was created to help employees, ex-employees and customers or possible customers.
Now if you want to run it like a business, fine!! But don't bullshit us when we are asking for help (my admin forum rank for example). Moving the website to a cheaper server...Messing with the moderators board (was left public when it shouldn't), changing mods and top 10 posters URLs...
Do whatever makes you happy, I don't want to participate, I don't want to be a moderator of this site anymore. Why is that so difficult to understand ?

The hole situation: "I'm the owner of this site, so bend over, kiss my feet and harvest for me" pisses me off. I had my differences but it drove me mad when he started to post, send pms, changed my profile and tried to make fun of me with a forum rank.

Stands on my principles, I won't be an accomplice, I won't be one of the faces in this place.

It just looks bad to/for everyone to go on about it publicly. Let it go.

The forum is what it is, and people are what they are. I could rant endlessly about 'what's wrong' with the world, but why? It wouldn't change unless I bought it and ran it like I wanted. Even Bill Gates can't do that, and we're lucky he can't.
