|
|
Ok so know that the Belleville site is an outsourced site run by Stream International, but it is closing just the same on June 14th 2008.
Apparently Dell is pulling all call center business out of Canada and bringing it to....India. This is their effort to create better globalization (in their own words).
They have already gotten rid of Service Parts from our Site and taken it to India. Email/Outbound is gone in four weeks. And Canadian Dell Tech and Customer Care are gone June 14th. From what I have heard there will be no more Canadian reps to help Canadian customers at all. |

This is why I somewhat shake my head when I see battle cries coming from the Ottawa area, where they actually believe that they will somehow magically be spared from closure.
It's all fantasy.
Ottawa will close its doors. It WILL happen. If they are shutting down ops from rinky-dink outfits like outsourcers in Canada, you'd have to be the biggest fool alive to think that a mega branch like theirs will survive. The sooner they face reality, the better off they'll be.
PS - Santa Claus is a myth too, hate to burst your bubble |

Not all are fools, just the ones that think Ottawa will be spared, and layoffs is as bad as it'll get. THOSE ones are the fools.
And my apologies, icantunderstandyou, for bringing you to tears rofl |
