Total Solutions was introduced in India last week. we have to make sales for which no incentives are paid out. We do the job of Inspiron, Dimension, wireless and now TS. 4 Dept is handled by 1 Person.

Making techs push and hawk their "Total Bullshit" was just a measure employed to trim bottom line from compensation, like commission. If you pay staffers commission to hawk wares, AND pay techs to support it - you're out 2 paycheques. By rolling "Total Bullshit" into the hands of techs, they don't have to pay commission because it's "not a sales role" and at the same time, they save how much money that way?

It's similar to the way that they made Dell On Call reps start selling their own contracts, with NO commission. We push their shit, we do ALL the work, and get HALF the pay for it. You can all put your hands together and applaud Dell for yet another way discovered to keep more money for themselves, and less money for you who does the real work.

At the Roseberg site, Joe Van DAMN wanted SRS (a return queue) to take the overflow of PQ calls, when he was asked would SRS be getting any "bonus" for handling the calls, he said that because SRS were paid $11.XX+ a hour and PQ were only $9.XX a hour and the fact that SRS were paid by the hour with real overtime, then the answer was no. The following week JVD took SRS into a room to explain the new pay structure that was coming and being used in the roseburg facility, and that PQ were now earning what SRS earned and they had commision as well.

Dell will screw anyone and everyone over, more often then not the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.

Money stopped acknowledging nation-states a long time ago. Money has no patriotism, no home. It goes where the profits are maximized. Money doesn't care if a 'nation' of 260million can no longer buy their products when there are up & coming nations of billions of consumers with cheap labour available. I've felt for the last decade or so that the west will eventually become the next 3rd world. Money has no problem packing its' bags & leaving home.

This is what happens when Hell closes their support in North America, moves over to India and the Philippines and demands the same shit out of their tech workers. We were pushed to make Total Solutions sale because that "could" somehow magically save the call center as we were told. It didn't matter that we were the best technical support that Dell had, they still closed us down. What a load of shit management feed to us every day. So be aware India, you guys might be next in line for closing.
