Does anyone work for Qualx or BancTech? Esp in florida/ga.
I'm looking for the contact information of the decision makers for the dell contracts. Or someone in charge of HR for the dell contracts.

Hello everyone I am new to this site. I was working for qualxserv for quite some time till reicently they have decided to make a change. there hiring some punk kid to do my job that I have busted my ass doing and paying him only milage to do my job. there basicaly firing me with out saying it. which I have done nothing wrong Im rated 1 out of 10 techs in my area. I called them on it today because the parts little do theyknow are still coming to my house so I know what the little prick is getting. so when I called them on it they said you are still active all I can see is a lower call volume then usual funny Im sitting here looking at the parts.

this kid is 21 drive a 1978 toyota camry lives with his mommy and uses his moms cell phone to make calls to tech support I have had the luxury of speaking to him. I just want to know how many other people have had this happen to them in the last week or so ?

If they found someone who will agree to work for far less than what they pay you, of course your volume will be "low".

companys like this make me sick. you bust your ass and what do you get for it nothing but short changed. I hope these people all burn for it.

Why is it that the truly mediocre always seem to prevail? Because that's the way the world works. Hard work gets you callouses and little else. Maybe one in a million actually toiled and put in the long hours and in the end came up on the black, but be realistic...it's the goofoffs, slackers, and Grade 8 educated that seem to get ahead further and faster in today's society.

You work hard and do well? You're boned. Period.

You will become a victim of your own success.

Sure you'll feel all good about yourself, but feeling good doesn't pay the bills.

I worked for BancTec for over two years, then for Qualxserv for 3 months until getting chewed out by my boss and going fully independent; I dumped a dozen IBM and Dell parts at DHL and I never looked back. I get more in two 4-hour days working inpedendently than I did working my ass off for BancTec all week long. I told every tech I could how much they are screwed by BT or QS, but they don't care...so I say let all the masochists stay where they are.

The smart field techs build up a client base and then dump their shitty W2 field tech job like a lead balloon. BancTec is especially nasty; every year is a 20% pay CUT with more added responsibilities.

And as far as talking to someone "important" at either company? Even if you could find their number, they would tell you to go fuck yourself. They are "BIG" business...you are a puny peon, not worth spitting and shining their gucci's.

Wow. Not that I am going to get rich off of QXS but I have taken home about 250k plus over 10 years. I build my contacts and run warranty calls for QXS. No brainier to me. QXS is the bread and butter and whatever I do on the side or at my other job is all the better.

It really depends on your individual situation but I always try to steer clear of any negative people. Find out for yourself.

If you try to stay clear of negative people, why are you here?

25k per year, with 30% automatically taken out for taxes...I typed out a small book about the reasons to leave, but deleted it...why bother preaching to the brick wall again....yea, I am definetly missing my w2 days...

But I see you're from Cleveland, and I should've expected it...they're always choosing the wrong side, anyway (GO STEELERS!)

Bite me. I make 25 to 30 from them for 2-4 hours of work per day. Imagine how much time that leaves me to day trade and work other jobs and sidework. A LOT!

I fish, I jet ski, I work other jobs as to not get burned out on these stupid F'ING COMPUTERS!!!!!!!!! AHGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! I hate them sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!

And I get to watch the news a lot to see the team that the Browns are building which is going to turn in to a dynasty!!

Steelers are going down for a long time!!!

I came here to find other techs (its called networking) and then I found myself defending Dell and /or answering questions when and where I could. I like to contribute to forums.

W2 working sucks. I gave that up years ago, they screw you completely.

I have been independent for a long time and would NEVER go back to being a wage slave.

Regarding Banctec, they sub out their Dell work to other companies in the low-population areas. Syntechs is one of those companies, and I contract to them in addition to others for field work.

I have a good thing going with them, because of the area I cover nobody else wants to. Southern Vermont and Central/Westem Mass. I NEVER work for that crappy $30 a call rate. They can pack that crap. I don't get much volume from them, but I average $45-100 per call depending on what they want and how desperate they are to get the job done, and how far I have to drive. Smile

I did the Syntechs thing last year. They are even nastier than w2 work. Syntechs is BancTec's bastard stepchild; anything out of BancTec's SAP zip code database is relegated to "5th party Syntechs"....fifth party!....how many fucking middlemen can you get? Syntechs is also net-60, PLUS 3 weeks to mail the check. But if they desperately need your work, they will magically mail the check within 48 hours.

Anyway, here's my story: Syntechs manager Bill Gargin calls me last July, and promises three $45 calls by Syntechs for Dell break-fix (the parts were delivered directly to the site). I was very happy, I thought this deal with Syntechs would work out. I had done $23 per call via banctec, and this was gonna be double what I originally made.

I was driving to the first call and luckily I called the EU before arriving. The lady tells me, "oh never mind, someone came and fixed it". Confused, I called syntechs. After being transferred 3 times, they finally told me "BancTec has the right to run any of your calls if they can get to them before you can" Shocked Evil or Very Mad

I was beyond pissed off. I was promised a verbal contract by Bill Gargin, and they reneged it. So I said fine; if they can pull calls then I'm not running the other two calls they gave me. They called me a few hours later and wined and moaned, and I gave them a big FUCK YOU FUCK YOU ALL. I told them you screwed me out of work order 6##### by sending banctec, so I am not running your shit anymore.

So the bottom line is, if a BancTec "tech" gets to your Syntechs work order before you, then you are screwed. You can drive 50 miles to the middle of nowhere, and if BancTec beats you there, then you are screwed. Syntechs is sneaky and backstabbing and their word is meaningless. But I know there's too many suckers to refill the ranks, so places like this, Joe Nerd and Geek Squad will prosper in spite of themselves. That's why I'm getting out of this field.

Wow. peeps around here write as though warranty work is actually hard work. Bull&$!% $25-$30 per call. If you guys want to see what an actual technicians workload includes go and work on staff as a systems administrator or technician with a information systems firm or department. Outsourced Dell Warranty work is simple, simple, simple.

If some young kid is doing your work for half the price, do what I did, get a degree (preferably computer science) and a real job in I.T.

I do work for Syntechs to make some extra money while I go to law school. Easy stuff. Quick cash.
