Hi All,
With all the traffic on this site, think of the power we could have....make sure at the least that you tell everybody you see not to buy Dell....dump their Dell stock (it's only going down anyway...)
People thought I was always joking when I told them "I would never buy a Dell" ....but I never did....I tell anyone and everyone who asks that Dell stinks and also direct them to this website for the whole picture...
WE CAN DO IT.....spread the word whereever you may roam, Corporations are evil greed mongers that will suck the life out of their mother if it would make them a buck....and Dell is the first up against the wall when the revolution comes.....

...But seriously folks....don't wait to be asked about Dell...spread the word....before they have small children working in factories in third world countries for a bowl of rice a day and peeing where they stand because a bathroom break is out of the question in their child labor sweat shops....
Say it isn't too late already.......

...sorry.....got that out of my system now....lol

Wtf is wrong with you? Change does not happen from radicalism, but through progressive ideas and ideals.

This forums heading is "Can dell improve?" not "How can we kill dell".

Speaking about child labor is not humorous. Funny.

No, it's not funny, but people need to know about it so that they can make informed decisions about whether or not they want to patronise the company. Look at the whole Kathie Lee Gifford/sweatshop bit. It ceratinly damaged her reputation, as well as Wal-Mart's. About your idea of change only coming from progressive ideas, Mohandas Gandhi had this radical idea of change, called peaceful civil disobedience, that certainly was effective in driving the British out of India.

What's funny, is anytime I go to tell someone about Dell, they already know. The same stories you see here about chronic hardware unreliability and lousy support are even on Dell's own forum. Along with "I'll never buy Dell again".

Even Ford only made one Pinto. Dell has been making nothing but Pintos for 7 years now, chintzy rebadged Chinese crap.

Michael Dell is to industry what Michael Jackson was to entertainment. He got rich and egocentric enough to where nobody could tell him he was wrong. Oh, except the customer base.

I think the one part of all of this is that I don't understand why people keep buying, even after hearing the hundreds of horror stories. How is it that people can be in denial about what they read and hear and expect that it just won't happen to them? This mentality supports those that have a culture of making and selling the cheapest, as there seems to be an endless supply of customers willing to take that chance. Consumer greed? Power of advertising? Didn't seem to work for Yugos, and the new coke. Folks ran from Microsoft Bob. But some products have this magic. Everyone knows that Firestone made shitty tires after the highways were littered with rubber, and one recall after another hit the news, but people keep buying them.. Are people all just stupid? Is it mass hysteria? Or is it that people just can’t resist the chance to beat the odds and get a deal…. Even weirder for Dell, is that people will actually pay more for the opportunity to get scammed…. Weird, just weird….

Unfortunately, there are still relatively few consumers that have heard of or experienced the DHell "horror stories." Granted, more are aware now than before DHell started sliding downhill, though. Also, there are a significant number of people who buy on price and don't care about anything else, and still others come back, thinking they won't be burned by the DHell corporate machine (again). Bottom line is that, despite all their efforts, DHell hasn't screwed enough people yet (or enough times yet), but give them time....it's inevitable.

Dell is doing themselves in just fine. They're down to what is it, $19 per share? When I started working there it was $40 a share. I can only see it dropping further.

I honestly don't understand how consumer watchdogs over there in the States haven't fined Dell a few billion for selling lies with respect to their 'next day' support. I recently moved from Australia to the UK and am told I have to wait 20 working days after filling in the service tag transfer form before I can even get somebody to come out and look at my machine. So much for purchasing a machine from a globally recognisable company for the global warranty. It is simply pointless. I can't believe their service tags aren't globally recognisable.

I have told EVERYONE I know not to buy Dells. I am thankful this website was created. Every vendor I know that sells you a support contract as part of a computer system has to provide it. I can't believe Dell can get away with thinking that everything can be done over the phone.

Fancy buying a car and not being able to take it to a mechanic when it breaks down. Instead you would have to ring somebody and be told to pump air in the tyres, change the oil and then be told a new spark plug will be sent to you to install.... and on and on.

It has now been a month and still no transfer of my service tag. I read the fine print and instead of "up to 20 working days" it actually says "at least 20 working days". Are these guys for real!!!

Well I guess it really does pay to read the fine print first.

Okay...for those of you still in the fire and know you are on the way out....
Here's a diabolical idea for you...if you really want to stick it to Dell and take one for the team....that's the Anti-Dell team I mean....

Every email that goes out to a customer, with ANY changeable field....such as the customer's name....replace it with the url for this site....
Dear ihatedell.net, I am sorry I was unable to resolve your problem today.
and any Sales agent with direct contact with customers could do some real damage.
Forget the union forming idea...forget ombudsmen, forget chain of command...think revolution....guerilla warfare......Dell focused cyber-terrorism...

...and just imagine if someone who had access to website development changed a few links around......

Be creative....history remembers the hero who went to the gallows cursing their captors with a hearty F-U...not the ones who lick their oppressor's boots, thinking they will be spared... until Dell finally pulls the lever.

I understand that Dell will slowly die on it's own....I like the slow part...it's just not PAINFUL enough for me.... Twisted Evil
