We should be redirecting our anger to our member of parliament re: why do we have to be bilingual to get a good job in the government.

Bilingualism is discrimination and you all know it. We should be just as outraged at language discrimination as we are about racial or religious discrimination.

We also know that Francophones are Quebecers who happen to speak English. We are being deprived of a good standard of living because we can't speak or can't learn French.

Not only that, but if you do find the time and money to learn French, you are learning Parisian French, not Francophone French and the interview for a government position will go poorly.

This is wrong, wrong, wrong. If this bilingual policy was reversed this government would have some heavy duty, competent, efficient computer support folks. Whadda say... let's complain to our MP's and MPP's about this discriminatory language practice.

How can we point the finger at other countries such as China, and have the gall to tell them what to do when our own backyard hasn't been cleaned up?

You're quite right, the whole French as an official second language is a farce. The greater percentage of Canada doesn't even speak French even with it as an official second language. I'm sure even less people would speak French if it wasn't forced on us.

I've wished many times that Quebec would just separate cause there would be thousands of jobs available in Ottawa for people who actually live here instead of all the frenchies crossing the river everyday and stealing our jobs taking advantage of a stupid language law. Quebec french isn't even real French it's a mix between english, archaic french spoken 400 years ago and a crap load of slang.
