Since it looks like Ottawa is closing, it's only right to say "fuck you" to all the greedy bastards that were the higher ups. Here's some names:

Vinay - You first tell us that Total Solutions is not mandatory, then the next thing you know, it became mandatory. You tell us you're available then I sent you an email about something, there's no response. Lastly some of the competent people that earn more got let go and all we're left with is a shell. I know you have no scruples or else you'd have trouble sleeping at night. You'll be out of a job soon and I'll be laughing at you.

MJ - The first thing they should've done is cut you. Your salary is more than 4 times some agents salary yet you were recalled to the States. The only time you were useful was when you were up on the podium and even then you have to refer questions to some one else. Then you force this total solutions bullshit upon people who aren't trained properly on the sales. I think your real primary job is to hold the curtains at the all hands on meeting.

And a special fuck you goes to Michael Dell and the board of directors for pushing out shitty half-baked product that don't work right. This is how you plan to gain back the market by reducing quality assurance to nothing and cut back on technical support like crazy? No wonder Dell has something in common with the Enron and it's not just the E.

I'd agree...if you think the call center isnt closing or that being bilingual will in any way save you or anyoneelse, you are deluded.They'll move those jobs to france before they will keep an expensive building like the one they are in for a couple undred techs unless they were ramping up. They arent, they are ramping down. The decision is clearcut, kill off the expensive canadian labour until and unless the canadian dollar drops below the US one ( ya good luck with that) .
If you are in Ottawa call center and you arent already interviwing for new jobs, you are setting yourself up for unemployment insurance or welfare. Period.

Layoffs in Ottawa are just the calm before the storm. They want you to THINK that it's just layoffs. Do the math though and you'll see this ain't so. Why would they have a super huge building with less than 500 reps inside the halls?

Cost cutting? Not a chance.

The layoffs are just to take the heat off another scandal like they had in Edmonton. Layoff most, then close the doors for good. It's less sensational for them, and also takes preventative measures to ensure that the reps that are still working there will not sabotage the works by a mass walkout, or revolt.

Anyone that thinks Ottawa will still be standing by the end of the calendar year is delusional and needs to cut their meds in half. Ottawa is done. It's just limping out the door as opposed to jumping out the window like they did in Edmonton.
