| Wow , this is my first time posting on the website and i have been employed at dell ottawa since cts 1. There are so many things that i found wrong with this stupid fuckin company . At the beggining my first manager was a dick S*** A***** . He was on my nuts for the smallest things i told him that if he had a problem with me that he would need talk to my face . He though he was the BOSS of dell. What fuckin retard, i told him that he should learn how to talk to people before he talks to me. I think i scared him abit. He was a major ass kisser. But he did give me a ok bonus. I got transfered to another team, this manager got on my nerves the first week. I told him to go and fuck himself and that i didnt want to be on his fuckin crappy team. He did not give me a bonus or a raise. WHen i saw his name on the fuckin list i was happy. My current manager is ok no. The way dell works is basically , you have to lick some ass to get a good review. VInay is a fuckin queer, i hope he gets let go and he becomes my bitch . They should ship him back to india were he belongs. I like michelle raso, she is the best out of all the managers. Hr is shit , they dont do nothing except meet and greet each other in a room . Iam still employed but i cant wait to get the fuck out, hopefully they lay me off really soon so i can get my unemployment and severance. |

I've seen a few people say this. I and a lot of my ex-coworkers received our severance packages without any issues. Just as promised to the final pay check. Based on my experience through this, I'd have to say no way to that. |

Things may be different in Ottawa though than they are south of the border. From what I have been able to gather from my friends who have been laid off so far in Ottawa they have all received their severance packages as well without a problem. I just want to know when those of us that are still there will get ours. |

This seems to be the information I got as well, I was talking to a coworker who went work from home and she was laid off a month or so ago they gave her about 2 months pay.They dont really get alot of choice in the matter i think as permanent employees ( which we were) and not contract the HRDC policies were pretty clear.

You may have more strict employment laws in Canada, or more scrupulous enforcement.
Here, they shed many employees by falsifying performance complaints against them, or by moving the metrics around so that by the numbers it looks like you're screwing off.
The big walkouts get severance when they are so big as to become a matter of public record and Dell can't dodge their liability (they will, and do, when they can). And Ottawa is a big walkout, so yeh you'll probly get your package.
When they offed us, the 12 they walked got packages. The 2 they kept got the phony PIP treatment a few months later, 'dismissed for cause', no package, no unemp. And these people weren't screwoffs. What they were, was pushing 50, lifelong industry professionals, and highly paid. Might as well wear a t-shirt with a target on it. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

| I was walked out in mid-call at the end of January, got 6 weeks and max bonus. My first ever bonus from Dell. I was lucky, a few more weeks and I would have quit. After my manager was let go, I knew I was a gonner, because there was no SL with enough spine to have me on their team. |

If I knew who you were I would probably yawn and scratch something and be about as interested as I would be in an anthill. I could care less what you posted earlier. Your response was was chicks***. Just be man enough to say none of your business. I dont care what you got. It is NONE of my business.
I now have more responsibility than I ever did at Dell and believe me, what I do now is a hell of lot more important that what I did at Dell, or what you did at Dell. In all probability, what I do know is more important than what you will do in the industry. And what I do is none of your business, just know my security clearances are higher than you will see.
