I am really, really disappointed, frustrated more than customers with Dell, that is the worst job experience I ever had, deal with customer's pressure is understandable but the fucking management sucks in our Site, they do nothing then get a lot of money and because of them the site will disappear at the end because they were stupid, all things they do is for nothing today they say is white, tomorrow is black and the day after tomorrow will be white again and so on, that suck people, I would like to leave this job but I need to know how to do it and get the money at the end, I releases many many calls every day, I don't treat the fucking customers well and I am afraid that for attendance is not a valid reason to be fired and get the money if I am fired, so please If anyone else had a previous experience like this one I will take notes and will be useful for many other coworkers, thanks in advance

If you're expecting to get FIRED and PAID for it - you really REALLY need to get some more oxygen to your brain. I mean, REALLY.

Dude, you'll get fired if that's your wish, but you won't get jack shit from the company if/when they do turf you.

If they can prove that you were an idiot and deserved or warranted being let go, most you'll get is a kick to the curb and maybe a week pay. If you really want out, find another job and then go.

Is it just me, or are people getting dumber by working at Dell?

Well....after years of laying off the brightest and the best and hiring their lower wage counterparts....what do you think...???

When our centre first opened they did get the best...but they have all been layed off (or left on their own by finding real jobs)....by the 4th through 17th rounds of hiring we had hired the dregs, scraped the bottom of the barrell, hired every homeless person they could find who had low enough self esteem to work for Dell, and finally small inanimate objects that looked good in head sets...

So IMHO....no...it is not just you....but people don't get dumber by working at Dell...it's just the smart ones are long gone and the only the dumb who believe every new piece of BS the executive produces, remain......

"Extended Warranty!.....How can I lose???"
HOW FAR DOES THE CRAYON GO ??

According to all the stupid stuff dell has like code of conduct or the policies, is very easy to get fired but the thing is get ideas from people who left dell and get their money not opinion from frustrated guys because the company kick their asses, that is not my fucking business. I know a lot of people got fired and got the money that is possible and their words really would be appreciated

Personally I'd be just letting my stats drop, but not doing anything that's a fireable offense. I know a few people who have gotten fired, and all they got was a nice piece of paper saying you're out, and a security escort out of the building.

I don't think Dell will give you money when they fire you. They probably hate every termination package they need to give to the people they lay off, let alone to someone who is just stirring up trouble.

A lot of people in the last round of layoffs were lower on the stack rank. Yes, I know it was seemingly at random and a lot of good people were let off too, but I did notice a good few of them were in the lower stack rank. Also just make it known to your manager that you want out. With any luck he/she might volunteer you for a layoff.

Getting fired isn't a sure way to get money on the way out. I don't know who told you that, but everyone I know who acted like an idiot got a swift kick in the ass and no cash.

The best advise so far I have seen is tell your management team that you are ready - you wont go postal - you will welcome it... and those managers that dont want to feel intimidated by yet another round - will bring your name up - if they just have to hand you papers and throw out a scripted apology, then they will most likely pounce on your request... less stress for them...
I believe this Wed or Thur we will see more and with that knowledge, I have placed my name in the hat too... for I lost my drive with this last round.. I am trying to restore my Dell fire... but I have noticed the flame has been blown out... I guess you can say I might be voted off the island...
I do not want my lack of ambition now to be my demise... So I threw my name in the hat...

We will see - the end of this week will prove to be fun - Will we really make the proft they predict or will our profit be due to another pitch of creative accounting or will we have another pitfall due to parts availability like they said was our issue with the LCDs.... or really - is it quality that is driving people away...

No one will say getting fired ain't easy, you're just dumb for thinking you'll get fired AND get paid for it. If you're fired FOR CAUSE they won't pay you shit, they'll just escort you out.

Any pay in lieu of notice is if they make you redundant, or they are laying you off (which is practically the same thing). Get a clue. No one ever got fired from a job and paid for it. That ain't the way the game is played. You want out AND get money on the way out, getting FIRED is the wrong way to get that done. If you know "a lot of people" that got fired and paid, I'd like to meet them.

Get some oxygen to the brain ffs. Rolling Eyes

Obviously the OP was referring to being laid off rather than fired. I'm wondering the same thing. The only tips I've seen are to let your stats drop, and volunteer to be next on the chopping block. Anything else I can do to increase my chances? I'm one of the ACS chumps that's still A5, thanks to the mysteriously dropped ACI program, so I don't think I make enough to catch their attention that way. I'd rather just get it over with.

Well...I guess you could hand out printouts of choice reading from this site at work to random co-workers...or start talking about unions at team meetings....either of those should do it for you....
