Actually the boards arent flooded by now and it's 4:30 so i'm guessing it was just an announcemnt of direction and such There's too much still in the ottawa building for it to just close today. if we were all XPS I could see it but there's still some sales queues onsite arent there? And Doc ?

omg....maybe they have all been "disappeared"......
...sorry...just finished watching Schindler's List and I am feeling a bit paranoid about fascist corporations.....

It is kinda scary that no one has commented on what happened at this rally - perhaps later tonight when Happy Hour is a thing in the past and our friends in Canada recover, they will enlighten us into what they had to endure today... but in the famous words of Quigon Gin, "We will be patient"...
Most likely this was a meeting, let me see if I get the words right...
This is the team.. this is the team I am counting on... this is the team that I want to take into the trenches and is gonna take us places. We will make or break Dell... that sorta stuff?
Sorry got carried away... so, is that what was said?
Sorry, I am still a learner... I must be patient...

Well, as we all know, the rally was cancelled. Too many people out there who don't know how to click a button calling in to complain to Dell about how stupid they feel so we don't get our free hour off the dreaded fone!
ProSupport should be fun.  As someone mentioned in a previous post, more will be expected from us fone bitches. Five sales a week minimum with no commission. ACI down the toilet (where it should have been flushed away months ago!) and any means of getting promoted effectively eliminated for the forseeable distant future.
A far cry from the spew management fed us during our orientation!

This is the death knell for you Ottawa folks then. For a couple reasons that one can only speculate on for now:
- the rally was cancelled conveniently, likely due to the exposure here and whispers - Dell likes getting people when they have their mouths open
- the rally was cancelled conveniently due to spikes in volume, indicating that even the announcement of site closure won't take precedence - further indicating that Dell wasn't going to risk walking people off so even less people could be helped in a timely manner leaving the rest there with apathy in the 1000% range to dump calls anyways
- "word" about bad things happening ain't "word" friend, we're warning you all so pay attention
- expect another announcement about a rally or an all hands meeting within the next 2 weeks - Dell likely doesn't want to keep you guys and gals paid for any longer than they need to
Speculation will be wild for the next few days to a week or so. I just see it as delaying the inevitable. |

Heya all,
Wow, I just signed in for the first time to see all of this and for Ottawa. I am so stunned to see some of the people I met during the CES event are now gone, and more to go.
I no longer work at Dell either but I will miss everyone. I truly enjoyed my time there and am glad everyone enjoyed the event I brought to the site.
I hope everyone is doing well, keep in touch.
