| When buying on Ebay...always ask to see the underside of the computer. If it is missing all the black labels, this means it was sold to a company that is authorized to purchase systems that have been deemed unrepairable during the remanufacturing process. They are known to have bug infestation, and spillage if it is a laptop. Dell is required to remove all the FCC labels as it has not been tested thru the re-manufacturing process. If you see one of these, beware! Unless the company has put therir own FCC label verifying that the system complies with the FCC |

hmm well it looks like all of the black labels are still there.
It mainly only does this when the laptop is not 'warm'
Like if I leave it in a cold room, or if I take it in the car with me - after turnign it on it's like that for about 5 minutes. |

Darb! All I got was 33 seconds of gibberish audio, and it ate up 12 MEG, that's 4 times the size of a 10-minute Youtube clip.
I don't know whose player popped up, but it showed no video at all. That might be my problem, my system is old (but it DOES play videos).
That you took 12M to encode 33 seconds is YOUR problem, something you're not doing right. Might want to look into that. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

If poormanq is telling you he'll check the database, take him up on it, because dell policy is to NOT tell you.Not that they care, they just mark the account with a popup and file it so no dispatches can be made on the tag ( to prevent getting ripped off one would suppose) so if someone will tell you go for it. I just hope poormanq remebers that Dellserv has access logs and they can tell if a record has been brought up, and that by posting here then accessing said record he's putting himself at risk ( or his job at any rate) so please keep the tag private, dont post it here.

thanks for the help guys - but it looks like it was all a misunderstanding or some bullshit.
Apparently a senior dell customer service rep fixed it all for me cuz the ebay seller freaked at her.
Anyway it's in my name now and they are going to fix it.
I'll keep you posted if it does get fixed. |
