| I have posted my first request for help on this site and against my User Name it states "possible spammer" - WHY? I need help and this is not likely to inspire readers to give any. |

It's an inconvenient truth that most single posts ARE spam. You don't see all that many because we remove ~30 a day.
The 'rank' designation is just a sarcastic rite of initiation. It changes after ~3 posts, as yours already has. Nobody pays any attention to those.

I wonder why nobody takes a look at the welcome section before whining about forum ranks...
