Guess what?? I got a TOS warning for using the word "lawsuit"

I circumvented the filter, by typing in L-awsuit.

Dell forum is run by a bunch of f**king morons. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Right, you can't even use the word 'suit' as in 'choose whichever suits you'. The content filter is set to 'Disneyland Jr.'.

Shucky darn M.
Thats been like that before you started posting there, & even before I started posting there.
My memory is getting old, but it seems like you have been in a thread about that issue, at D/T before.

screw,

Please quit using "idiots" and "morons" to describe Dell employees. The real idiots and morons out there already have a bad enough reputation and associating them with Dell only makes things worse for these poor people. Wink Laughing Laughing

I don't recall that.

I do remember the NON-Technical forum for customer complaints, where some others brought it up. I don't recall "suit" being a banned word when I started there June 2002. They upgraded Oct. 2002, and no more applets and scripts were allowed.

Why is "suit" considered to be "smut"?? Is it because Dell does not want people to give others any ideas??

what if you were in Scratch pad, and wanted to tell people you bought a new suit and tie? Or, you put your laptop into a suitcase??

I am sorry. But what kind of person makes "Suit" a banned word??

If I said "shi*" I could understand. Of course, I would've been perma-banned for that.

Ok, the employees are not idiots and morons., but the policies are idiotic and moronic. Cool

Here I am!! I don't give a s*** about Dell, except I am happy that my Dells work. Great computers, mediocre business.

I found another word it won't let you say: Scrape. As in, "do not scrape the heatsink with a metal tool." It sees the word 'crap' in it. (Why doesn't it see 'rape'? As in, "Dell Financial raped me.")

I'm surprised it will let you say 'hello', cuz there's 'hell' in it. Rolling Eyes

I wonder if it will let you say 'douchebag'? As in, Dell is a douchebag.

Since you now brought it up, Rocke. My best guess is that if it is not already banned, it will be very soon.

There was a dell community management change in 2005. It's now being run by marketing tards who restrict customers real voices/messages. The forum went from "substance" to "style" in 2.5 seconds. Love the pretty new colors. Smile
