The Purely You campaign is yet another weak knee effort by Dell to inspire people to buy their sagging product lines.
Most people are not so easily swayed anymore as was proven when Dell fell from grace and lost top spot that they've held for so long. Dell covered that up by dismissing it and stating that it was all planned basically, and that they are looking for profitability instead of share in the market.
Uh huh. Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night. |

Um... i'm a little confused. If you were able to configure it with the CompleteCare.. what makes you think they dont offer it anymore?
If you were offered a special PRICE on that configuration, that's different. The configuration is still available, but the price may be different. |

The e-mail from Shellie Pruitt said they didn't offer it. _________________

Complete Care is offered on any Dell system, and to be told different is amazing. Shelly should be reported for misrepresentation.
I just used the online configurator for a desktop and a laptop, and both have the availability of Complete Care. The idiot you had dealings with should be relieved of her duties just for lying. |

Mr. XXXXXXX
I am not sure if you are requesting my reply, as it looks like you have blind copied me on this message. I've looked at the quote that you are requesting below and that quote was generated on 11/12/06, so it is no longer valid. Our prices and promotions are subject to change daily without notice, but generally, we run our promotions and prices from Thursdays-Wednesdays. We unfortunately no longer have the B130 available as of 12/4/06. The closest system that we have to what you had configured last month would be our new Inspiron 1501. There are several differences including the following: AMD processor rather than Intel (comparable speeds), 15.4" display instead of the 14.1", 60GB Hard Drive rather than 40GB, ATI Graphics Card rather than the Intel card (which addresses your initial concern outlined in your original email
below) and no Security software (original quote included 90 days - this system comes with nothing automatically and you can purchase 15, 24 or
36 months). I have emailed this new quote to you separately from this email and you should receive it shortly. I'll only be in the office in the morning tomorrow, but will return to normal hours Wednesday. If you have any difficulty receiving this new quote, let me know and we'll make sure to find a way to get it to you. I can also arrange for one of my Senior Sales Associates to give you a call if you'd like. All I'd need from you is a good time and the best # to reach at that time.
I have also requested that your phone number be updated in our system, which can take 48-72 hours to be reflected when you contact us. For your reference and mine, that request number is 844665. If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.

This is not Warranty or Complete Care.
When you go through the online system builder you'll notice a little tick box to buy longer term updates for McAfee or in some cases PCCillin. *That's* what she's talking about.
E-mail said nothing about Warranty or Complete Care. |

If that email above is from Shellie, it doesnt say anything about CompleteCare not being offered. It says the configuration that you got on your quote is no longer available, even though the link below already shows that to be untrue - unless they changed the specs of the B130 between then and now, which is entirely possible.

| The B130 available now is a closeout (see Fatwallet.com, it's where I saw the link to it.). Probably why the specs are limited to include available parts/software to lower stock? |

That wasn't the e-mail from Shellie. It was from Krystal McCabe or something like that. Anyway she said the B130 is no londer Avaible and someone on this fourm replied and said it was. _________________
