Eh?
Um...don't tell me that's the best you could come up with. Mind you, someone that lauds the XPS such as you (hence the name you selected) must be just educated enough to be able to spell his name on the welfare cheques that he pays to live in Mommy and Daddy's basement.
Get a grip, kid. | Bless the Dell fans. Who wouldnt laud an XPS 710 its a beast of a computer. _________________

Flash but no dash? The XPS is both as far as im concerned, runs everything I've ever thrown at it.
TBH, I pratically built my own XPS, Its nothing like the one that arrived from Dell last year.
I love this forum |
You've never had to speak with Dell tech support? You must be the only person on the planet. By the way, looks like you're from England. Dell techs (from India) don't like us Americans. If you called them, they'd actually understand and like you.
Runs everything you've thrown at it, you mean a couple of piddly games that you can get on Playstation/Xbox anyways?
Built your own XPS? So, you spent all that money on an XPS, then went and spent a ton of money AGAIN to replace all the parts? No wonder you're not having problems, your machines are not really Dells anymore... |

No wonder you're not having problems, your machines are not really Dells anymore... | The specification of my XPS when I purchaced it in August 2004 was 512MB RAM, ATi X800SE 128MB, Audigy 2, 160GB HDD. So it has been upgraded by quite a way. Since then its had a X800GTO, X800XT and now a X1800XT 512 so I have spent donks of money on it! I guess you could say im stupid, but I didnt know much about computers back then, and it was advertised as the best PC in the world lol, and it was really good at the time! Anyway its been upgraded heavily since then and now I have no cash lol _________________

Well, as long as you end up with a machine with no problems and you like, great!
I do admit that Dell has some nice monitors at hard to beat prices - from what I understand they're simply Samsungs with a Dell label slapped on. Samsung does make nice LCDs...
(I have a Dell 18" Ultrasharp LCD I got for $425 a couple of years ago while other manufacturers at the time were at $600, it's works fine and the picture's really nice) |

One wonderful thing about the XPS is that it has special phone support based in Round Rock!! So, as long as you can decipher a Texas twangy drawl.... |

The phone tech who dispatched BancTech and the replacement LCD for my M1210 said he was in Phoenix at a brand new call center.
He also said that India does sometimes field XPS calls. |
