Actually, my family doesnt seem to like toshiba too much. We've only had one of their computers, twas an anchient laptop. I never considered a toshiba, but I know this HP is a good model, cause my mom had the same one before, I really like it too.

Not so bad, plus it'll run Second Life, as my mom's laptop did.

Meh, I don't have too much choice in the matter, the laptop is going for about 300 dollars, and the shipping isn't too much since its closer to my house. Plus, I do kind of like the laptop itself cause of it's features, like, built in wireless, witch the laptop I'm using doesnt have, neither does my dell, and it has a media remote that controls songs, volume, player, etc.


What I don't like about it, is the speakers are set in the front of the laptop, my Dell's the same, I didn't like that, cause when it rests against your stomach, it muffles what your listening to.

Also, I don't like how the head set jacks are in front along with the mic jack. That's very annoying.


What will be nice, though, is I spent over 300 $ on a cell phone with built in media player, but my laptop and my main PC don't have built in card readers. My media card to my phone fits into an SD card adapter, then into a card reader, witch this laptop has built into the side.


However, my mom did have issues with the USB ports on this model, they became loose over time and fell inside the laptop.


Another perk, is that I might have RAM from my Dell to fit into the HP to make it a lot faster, so I could do more multitasking.


I also liked how it's light weight. It only weighs about 6.5 LBs, as opposed to my Dell, witch weighs in at about 10 LBs. Its also more compact than my Dell, and a hell of a lot faster. It also has more hard drive space, I thing 80 gigs.

I wont be using it a lot for video games, seeing how I mainly only play console games more than anything else, I type fast, I just don't react fast with arrow keys, shift keys, and other game controls. They're more confusing than game console remotes.


I play Second Life on my Main PC, though, since my Dell barely runs SL at all, and my HP crashes on log in screen, but I have played SL on my mom's laptop before. It ran SO smoothly compared to my Dell.
