I got a mother board in April because my original motherboard in my Inspiron 9100 went out (wouldnt power up just flashed lights and went off). They sent me one free of charge because of the BBB complaint that I had.
Well now today my new motherboard (well refurbished by dell) is doing the same thing. Dell said they will gladly charge me another one to remedy this and will not exchange hardware.
Should I take the charge and just swap parts or contact the BBB yet again. |

Hi Juise
Sorry about the troubles you are having with your system.
Is the 9100 currently under warranty or was it even under warranty with the first motherboard replacement? Parts do carry a 90 day warranty no matter what, however, April til now is a lot more than 90 days. If the system has been out of warranty for more than 6 months, then take the replacement offer and leave the BBB alone. Otherwise, it may be worth it to milk another board from them.
Good luck _________________ Have you seen my dell laptop?

Yeah, I don't think you will get anywhere this time with the BBB. Being a year out of warranty and the replacement board is 2 months out of it's 90 day warranty. I would recommend buying a new system, say HP or Toshiba. _________________ Have you seen my dell laptop?

OR you could just buy another [3rd Party] motherboard. _________________ "The art of Engineering is knowing what you can safely ignore." -Dr. H. Hess

what is it, a skt 478? On www.newegg.com, you can get an ASUS [they're pretty good quality, or at least the ASUS boards that I and my friends have used are] skt 478 motherboard for less than $100 _________________ "The art of Engineering is knowing what you can safely ignore." -Dr. H. Hess
