Anybody hear what went on with Dell's acquisition of Alienware?
Was going to buy one way back, then heard of the acquisition. No go - I won't give Dell another penny... |

They've been publicly very low profile. I haven't heard a word.
Shoot, get a local guy to build you a Wintel game box if you want one. Can't possibly cost any more, and there's no better support than plopping the thing down in front of the guy who built it.

there is absolutly nothing going on. Its a done deal. Dell for right now atleast, is very hands off. Alienware is just benifiting from Dell's supply and distrobution, other than that i havent heard a thing and from what I understand it will stay that way for a bit.
