Even though I received a new Dell 720 printer with a recent purchase, I've never even taken the thing out of the box. Already had a working HP. Makes me wonder how many of these Dell bundleed printers are NOT being used or are being held for later replacement.
Anybody have a similar experience? |

The ink dries out whether you use the machine or not... faster if the cartridges come already installed in the carriage, slower if not. (No point 'uninstalling' them once they're unsealed.) Course we already know they give you the printer to get you to buy the ink, and that the cartridges the printer comes with are only half full. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

LOL!
I love the low end Dell lasers...
Buy 'em NEW off Ebay....
When the toner runs out rather than buy a new cartridge...
$85-100...I toss it in the trash and buy another off Ebay...
for $50 shipped!
Now thats a successful business model for you!
Heads up their Mikie!

| I was just told that the printers are now selling on E-bay for $35 - $40 and there are over 800 listed. May be a good place to buy one for the ink, but kinda hard to sell one. |

They are used as sales closers to get you to buy Dell.
Made by Lexmark and probably cost 10-20 dollars to produce. They are vlaued at "$90..yeah right.
it's a ploy to get you to buy the real expensive lousy Dell cartridges. Dell wants to cut Hp's share in the printer market. ..nice try but your Lexmark wannabes suck.
Do yourself a favor. Gift the 720's to your friends or donate them or even better chuck em in the trash!
Go HP..they rule the ink market for a reason..they are good. _________________ I did the smart thing - I Quit Dell.

Best use ever for the 720 printer.....
Re-create the scene in "Office Space" where they pull the copier from their trunk and beat it to death with a baseball bat.
It has a Dell logo on it so it might be a good release. |
