Just some quick words about Dell and Dell's customers.I used to work at Dell,but let me tell you something:even though Dell is a really stressful place to work,at least here in El Salvador,CUSTOMERS SOMETIMES MAKE IT WORSE FOR A TECH SUPPORT AGENT.First of all,its not the techs freaking fault if the computer doesnt work as it should.Customers sometimes bitch at techs,they curse at them for asking their service tag number,and all the questions a tech HAS TO ASK.Remember: A TECH IS DOING HIS JOB.It is frustrating to wait for an hour on the phone to get a human being,but the tech TRIES TO DO THE BEST HE CAN TO HELP YOU GUYS.It is necessary to be on the phone and let the tech guide you so he can see if the computer can be fixed,and to send a onsite technician if needed.So please DONT BE ABUSIVE TO TECH SUPPORT AGENTS,those guys are doing the best they can...AND DONT BE RACISTS.Some people think WE LATINS ARE STUPID......the joke is on them.AT LEAST the tech knows what he is doing!!!!! So,please,EVERY TIME YOU CALL DELLS TECH SUPPORT REMEMBER....YOU ARE A HUMAN BEING...THE TECH IS A HUMAN BEING ALSO.....get it??? Thanks.[/b]

Ummm, you work for Dell, don't you? Very Happy

Up here in the United States though, we have a saying..."If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen." Part of your job is to deal with people who are angry at Dell the company in general and you, Dell's representive, in specific. It might be the fault of the guy who spent 4 hours taking them through a format of their hard drive when all they needed was to run a fix for the Winsock....and then telling them all their photos and documents are gone, pretty much forever...click.

Or maybe it was the hour long hold after having been hung up after another hour long hold to get you...

Or it could be that they are on their 3rd dead hard drive and Dell still hasn't ok'd the new mainboard with decent caps on it...

They also might just want someone who speaks English just as well as the guy who sold the computer on the ads. It's not racism to expect that the support reps - for an American company selling a product in America to Americans - can speak American English. After a couple of experiences with Dell Technical Support now - Let alone DFS - they might have good reasons to seem intolerant of anyone who isn't easily understood to their ears.

But if people are angry at you, well, you are the company who did it to them in their eyes. So if you are especially sensitive, you might just want to find a different job. Or else, if what you are doing is truly the job you want, just help them as best you can.

Whoa...a Dell lover. Sound eerily similar to those that still live at home with Mom and Pop...
