4600C had one issue. WXP servicepack 2 will erroneously report an overload on the USB ports. It usually doesn't affect the operation of the machine, it just makes those annoying flags pop up out of the taskbar. It can be safely ignored. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

Dell Dimension 4600C would that C stand for celeron? Thats the problem. Sounds like one of those $299.00 deals. _________________

The 'C' is for 'compact', as in small form factor. 4600 without the C was a standard minitower. Neither typically shipped with Celeron, and neither typically had chronic reliability issues. And no, you couldn't get a 4600C for anywhere near $299. It was a stylish mid-line slim box with a curved door over the front (instead of Dell's familiar 'toothless grin' aesthetic). _________________ Rocke T Sinetist
