I'm hearing that there is a big deal press conference with Michael and Sheryl Crow next week in NY. Supposed to be releasing that new "lexus" line of PCs....I wonder if the customer serivce will be better the more you pay for the machine.

It's at the Ritz near Central Park at 2 on Wednesday. If anyone wants to give Dell hell, go and tell Mike I said hi!

If not already, The Michael will soon be using the same technique The W does at his public appearances-- checking IDs and only letting people in who agree with him.

Unquestionably, the more money you spend with Dell (or any megabusiness), the better customer support you get. Recall that it wasn't that long ago when ALL customer support used native English speakers, and ALL computers cost at least $1000. But "We The People" demanded CHEAP, so they found a way to do it--hire people who don't have to pay for luxuries like roads, electricity, indoor plumbing. Schweet arrangement, eh? Rolling Eyes

How is it possible that people think that outsourcers work using a Dell laptop, wireless connected, wearing headsets inside a tent surrounded by wild animals Question

They don't? From the press we get, Bangalore is not quite as second-world as Tijuana. Obviously the call centers have walls and wires therein. The community-at-large doesn't. Nor particularly serviceable roads between one and the other.

Hell, I'm not far from living under a bridge myself. I've got 2 decades in the industry and I'm frittering my time here. "The Industry" is not so especially interested in what you know, but how cheap you'll work.

I was told that, people really said that type of things, they really meant it.

People even asked if we have drinkable water down here Shocked

Yes, we are cheaper than americans, but it doesn't mean is not good money. In fact, you can work 6 hours a day 5 days a week and earn as much or more (if you are good) than other 8 hour "regular" jobs...

You do??? Damn, america obviously isn't doing enough to bankrupt your country...

Time to bring out the big-guns - "Would you like to fund our war against terrorism? You wouldn't? Then we better invade you... Oh... you would now would you... that'll be 10 billion dollars..."

Well, they don't want to bankrupt Argentina, just wound it.

They want our water (Perito Moreno's glacier) and our territory (Patagonia) which thanks to our corrupt politicians, is being sold at US $2 per hectare...

The Patagonia is for sale, not the glacier. Sorry I expressed myself incorreclty, and I'm sure that with Google search you'll find something.
