How in the Dhell does management justify making a stat retroactive back 6 weeks ?

first of some explanation of what the f**k your talking about would help...

second... if your gonna be a BITCH about something then can you PLEASE offer a suggestion on fixing the problem insted of just whining about it?????

ROTFLMAO !! Look who's talking ! Sorry that you don't know what's going on in AO1 these days. You should keep your ear to the ground a little more I guess.

And the fix is simple. Get stats that are accurate. Using accrate stats and setting a goal is how most businesses run. Perhaps you and Dhell have better ideas but it sure doesn't look that way from the phones.

Oh, and for those who are wondering what I'm posting about, managment recently decided to recalculate the stats for some of the groups in tech support. Subsequently some have seen their rank change significantly on the TAP wall as the result of this "recalculation". The funny thing is that for DMC they took a metric that accounted for 40% of the ranking and simply got rid of it. Completely and retroactively. All the way back to the beginning of Q1. But it may come back. We don't know.

In other words, at no time do you have any idea how your performance is going to be measured. NONE !! And even if they tell you your doing great today, tomorrow they can state that you were actually doing terrible.

In my opinion this is the ultimate display of corporate bullshit.

if you had said that in the first place it would have been best. As moderator i need to ask that if your going to start a topic please be detailed for the REST of the people that arnt at A01.

And i think you would be suprised as to how much I know about A01 and the happenings there. I dont just mean in tech support either. To understand whats going on near you, you must first begin to put togeather the pieces of a much much larger puzzle.

Apparently you still dont see beyond tech support.

He's doesn't seem to have a broad range of experience to draw on. (Like most of Dell management as well). I would not be surprised if Dell is the only significant gig he's dealt with so far. If not, I am sure I'll be hearing about it soon.

Empires of all kinds come and go, the world stays the same.

If he stays on the same path he'll be singing a different tune 20 years from now.

No I am not a manager. Dont be foolish, managers dont have the balls.

LOL ! What's with the 'tude man ? We have all suggested numerous way to "fix it" to manangment but they aren't listening are they ? And do you think we're going to post the same suggestions we've already made inside Dhell here on this forum given that :

1) They've already been ignored
2) The managers can look through their lovely pile of suggestions and find ours thereby knowing exactly who we are ?

I suggest that you re-read the thread "Do not disagree with the Dell Mafia (ie your manager)" under Management Issues.
