So I guess it's been a year since I bought my xps 710, and someone from an overseas call center called me today to tell me that my warranty was expiring.
He said it was like $250 to get 2 years more warranty.
Should I get it? |

Ten years ago, the answer would be unequivocally 'no'. Waste of money.
Given Dell's reliability record since then, extending the warranty is probably a good idea. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

| arg I hate having to pay MORE money for this piece of crap - for the amount of interest I'm paying they should give me an extended warranty until the day it's paid off for no charge. |

See if you can find a provision for doing that on their website. Dell won't do much for you over the phone but lie.
Use a credit card. If you have an account with Dell, close it, they are nothing but trouble. Among other things, fraudulent charges and identity theft from within Dell. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

if you dont intend to change notebook or whom has someone to be given away, its a good idea.
but be prepared for more frustrations! alternatively if you have an axe to grind with them . . . do it and have fun! |
