Anyone on here affected? A buddy of mine got walked. They gave him 2 months severance pay and 1 week for each year he worked if he signed some sort of paperwork.
Having worked there for 6 years, anyone who got it will be better off in the long run. That place is not healthy.
Heard the same and today is supposed to be the day that the Bain folks are making final cuts- although we have not heard a lot about the 8800- guess the lay offs are flying under the radar because the Nasdaq 3rd warning is taking the center stage. The package is good- but no volunteers- everyone would leave. Here is an idea to cut costs and keep people employed- take away the Black Berry's from the managers-total waste of expense and a distraction- it is another tool to show how the managers show their perceived importance.

They probably won't take any volunteers because if they did there would be a lot of groups with empty desks and a manager and some groups with no people and no manager. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out over the course of the next 12 months but if any of the rumors are true it isn't going to take 12 months before the action starts. The rumor of something going down this week seems to have been false unless tomorrow is a busy day.
