I work for a Major aerospace company whom has a dell employee purchase program and like a dumbass I was lured by the siren song of employee discounts and ordered one. I picked it up last night and the piece of shit turns on but you cant see the screen because the backlighting does not work. I called customer support and asked them "don't you even test these before you send them out?" he replied "yes we test every one" so i asked him " what? you ship it anyway even if it is defective?" I am kicking myself in the ass, my co-workers warned me about buying a fucking dell but like a dumbass I did anyway. I swear to god I am going to send emails to everyone in the company who has a hand in capital expendurature and get them to change suppliers.

Hey, great news, you can call customer care and return the dumb thing. Don't be mad at Dell though, your coworkers warned you this would happen. _________________ Have you seen my dell laptop?

sickofdell,
You missed the point entirely it's not the fact that I can return it, it's the fact that a defective product was shipped at all. This is not some vibrating rubber sex toy cobbled together in some chinese shithole. I paid over a thousand dollars ($1,500 actually) for a quality product from a company that supposidly markets superior products and service, And the guy on the phone had the nerve to tell me it was tested before it shipped. well the shipping container was flawless so it must have magically destroyed itself in the box.
I feel like I got bent over and delled in the ass with no grease! |

Congratulations, Michael! "Dell" is now a verb. Albeit, a verb with increasingly negative connotations. Your kids are gonna love that!
If they even have time to think about the other 2,999,998 Americans their dad betrayed. They're going to be awfully busy spending money. Now THAT'S childrearing! (Shit, I'm just jealous.) _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

Actually, Dell's notebook/laptop lines are cobbled together by one or more Malaysian companies and who knows they might have dildos running right next to the rebranded Dell Laptops at these plants. You do have a valid point about Dell's marketing of "superior products and service", but that is all that it is MARKETING. One last point, all of Dell PC's from Notebooks to Desktops spend less than 1 hour powered up in the burn racks which makes it next to impossible to catch all hardware defects especially the ones that do not show up until a system has been operating for hours on end. _________________ Q: How do you know Dell Management is lying to you?

sorry, they got rid of her and every other actors in their commericals. In order to sell you the consumer more crap, Dell cut cost on that too. |
