I ordered a Dell XPS notebook and the order was canceled without me being notified! Then on top of that I was disconnected 5 times on the phone and given the were not sorry at all talk on the web live chat service!
I think that after 3 years of doing business with Dell I am moving on to greener pastures! I am typing this on a Dell 9300 Insipiron that I ordered 4 months ago, I also own a few other machines that I frequently replace/update so this isn't exactly a good loss for Dell Inc.
I hope that my venting here helps someone else avoid wasting time buying a Dell.

I should note that I may have gotten spoiled by the treatment I endured from Apple ordering a powerbook early last month. They even called me to see if I am enjoying the experience.

I just purchased http://www.nomoredell.com so I can put up a site regarding this debacle. I will make sure Dell corporate gets to know me and my complaint before I let this rest! No company especially one as big as Dell can get away with treating people like this! |

There is not a single word in the entire chat that Rubina typed.
It's all F1, F2, F3, F4...
It is true that Dell can cancel orders without any kind of notification. You should have read the Terms & Conditions of the Sale (Shaft, behave  )

The fact that I'm not at Mar del Plata throwing rocks and molotov bombs to my police men, doesn't mean I agree with a murderer, racist president.

O-o-o-h, wanna do Star Wars dialog eh? From an adjacent scene-- miscellaneous pilot soliloquizing to his headset: "There's TOO MANY of them!" It was an inside joke. That line was intercut into the effects sequence that used a (then-) record number of elements.
Don't even get me started on Palpatine, I know EVERY line of his dialog from SW6/Jedi.
Go Lane! Yeah, 'terms and conditions', blahblahblah. What other retailer unilaterally cancels what they've promised a customer, without the grace of spending 30 seconds to notify them by email?

Today I talked to a lady, who after I told how to plug her home theatre into her TV, asked me the address to send a letter to my Supervisor in order to tell him how nice I was and how satisfied she was. I told her that I'm in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She then told me she saw on the news that a bunch of people burnt a US flag while Bush was here, she told me that wasn't nice and she won't send that letter to my Argentine Supervisor.
My answer was: sorry mam, we are not allowed to discuss that type of subjects...
