To be honest with you, I don't care.
US' foreign policies may had been different or not if Kerry would have been the president.
I have a crazy feeling that is not the US' President who governs, I'm so nuts that I think that a secret organization does it and if you don't follow their lead they'll shoot you like Kennedy.
For all the readers of this post, I wrote it with no intention to piss someone off. It's just my mad mind... _________________ I see DELL people!!

Like a box of kleenex on a Cinemax Friday night, I'll keep them in arms reach.
It's been a long time since I've done laptop work. Have laptops migrated to a Ziff socket now for standardization, or are they still hard soldered to the board? _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I will fight for your right to say it.

While it's probably not conclusive, and my inspiron 1150 has now gone to a better place, so i can't check it out for sure, if memory serves me correctly that one seemed to be on a Ziff socket.
Not sure though... |

That's an easy one, you just need to call Dell Tech Support or go to www.support.dell.com _________________ I see DELL people!!

Does someone have the complete schematics plans caus I made a short on the USB bus and the computer don't boot anymore, only the power light that light and HDD light shows only one second as a little boot of the HDD and the display doesn't light up so I have to find the value of some fuse resistance.
Thanks!

The vast majority of the components are surface mount. To put it bluntly you are not going to find surface mount soldering equipment at the local Radio Shack. I have decades of experience in soldering. I am a graduate of the Air Force High Reliablity Soldering school. I would never consider trying to solder on a system board with out the right equipment, and due to the cost of the tools (There is a comma in the price) it is not worth his time or money to try and do his own soldering. |
I would have to disagree. We sell hundreds of these jacks and include instructions to customers as well as links to helpfull websites which detail how to perform this repair. A very small percentage of customers report that the repair didn't work. Most people can pull it off and save a load of money by replacing the jack instead of paying for a new motherboard.
Also, if the motherboard isn't currently working, what is there to loose? _________________ http://www.notebookpowerjacks.com
