If you wanna be listened, instead of copying and pasting your post hundreds of times, just put it in a new topic in the Computer Help section Idea

Hey loser, I'm trying to help you. It's not smart from you to attack me.

Now, if you'd really wanted to solve your problem, you would have posted your issue in the correct section. I think you just want to f*ck around, but don't worry, a Mod or the Admin will take care of you Wink

having just had a quick look it seems like the chip may have also been scratched - will go ahead with the slodering, but if it doesn't work i'm blaming this.

It does seem that dell must know of the problem - not onl because of the number of posts about it, but it seems (as mentioned in a site linked to by the site you mentioned) that the plastic cover has at least been extended to try to give that area a little protection - not that they succeeded.

And such an obvious design flaw.
The 1150 doesnt have cooling fans in it does it? If it doesnt then that could have caused your memory connection to fry. I have a gateway 7322gz notebook and i have played on it for periods of up to 5 hours running games and it isnt even warm to the touch. tssk tssk tssk just shows what happens when people with $3/hr wages that struggle with english design computers. Surprised

You say fans plural - obviously it as a fan as connected to the heatsink for the processor - but thats all - do laptops come with more than one fan now? (i've onle ever seen laptops with one fan).

Paul - something tells me he wasn' trying to attack you - it looks like a childish misplaced moronic complement to me... though i'm not very good at psychology.

You may be right.

It's just an irony.

But the real point here, is that he didn't want to be helped at all. Otherwise he would have posted his problem in the Computer Help section.

I believe there is a reason why he didn't reply, and that reason is what I've already explained.

Yeah just take Dell's Ceo for one example or president Bush and his oil.

Ok ive read all around and cant seem to find out how to upgrade my inspiron 1150. I want to upgrade my cpu to the fastest one my motherboard can handle. I also DO NOT want to buy a new computer. I just want to make my current computer good enough to actualy use without getting pissed off at it. Someone please tell me excatly what and where i can buy it. I will attempt to buy it and install it i am also thinking about upgrading my ram if anyone can also tell me where i can get 2 512 mb dimms of ram for a good price and will not give out.

My computers current config is:

512 ram
2.4 ghz intel celeron

This computer is only a year old and has not treated me too bad(exept for some minor problems)

and it looks like the 1150's motherboard uses pretty standard cpus - though all the info i have is taking it apart to get a computer shop guy to solder it - it still doesn't work but thanks anyway (so due to not having a working laptop i've just spent 2 weeks in china with NO INTERNET! the horror... ) Twisted Evil oh - pspgamer - i think the chances of anyone minding you insulting bush are slim - given that people who are anti dell are mostly anti big companies in general, and thats what bush is pro, pretty much. Plus there are at least 2 non-americans in this forum, and i don't know about the argentinian, but i think pretty much all brits would prefer to see kerry in the white house - and probably most foreigners.
