Media knows what goes on inside Dell. Customers contact them, employees contact them, and they read this site. They are under editorial restraint not to print what one person or a few people say. That level of restraint is just as valid in media as it is in an engineering laboratory.

One instance of something is not a reportable event, but raises awareness. Several concurring instances is cause to look closer. When everybody reports the same thing, it is a strong trend.

Even though a collection of individual reports is not 'news' (because the number of people NOT reporting is not quantifiable), a body of evidence piques the effort of journalists to report in favor of the individuals who DO report.

So if you have personal observations about dealing with Dell, as a customer or an employee, posting them on this site definitely has an impact. Even though you might not see it in headlines, right away.

He wants to write a story about the layoffs but hears nothing but rumors. Dell won't talk to him because it's apparently not newsworthy when Dell HQ laysoff only 40-50 at a time.

I have leaked information to state and national media over 8800 job's gone and still counting they are bleeding out about 100 people a day.

The top end of the company is over paid especially in light of income and potential shrinking market share.

Kiss of death like Snow white biting that apple it looked good on paper but the customer(s) paid the ultimate price. Contracting out the technial support (and now all design is done in China, they just assemble the boxes- pure junk) "THING" like "BRANDING" was the worst possible thing they could do. The TECHNICAL SUPPORT WAS ALL DONE BY DELL PEOPLE IN THE USA, by subcontracting it out, it lower the bar not raised it. And are close to pond scum in the industry. This was their "BRANDING" it was the heart and soul of "DELL" which it was founded upon. SO MUCH FOR EDUCATED PEOPLE AT DELL THE FOR THE KEY ELEMENT >>>>>>THE CUSTOMER- CONSUMER<<<<<<< which was never nor ever part of the thinking the average American is not this dumb. TECH Support and the name DELL USE TO STAND FOR QUALITY! And word of mouth like wildfire can kill a company just as fast as the media.

What about the computer's shipped with the wrong keyboards! You should of seen Dell scramble that day.

Remember the food recall, crayons (kid'os), Cat food and people food recall. China was never a USA allied force. Whoa... stop the bus... who is thinking there? They are not our friends. Did they help after 911...NO. Did they send troupes ...NO...So was China slowly poisoning the USA, my cat died from it. They knowing placed toxic ingredients in our children's crayons for export only to the USA. As (I love Lucy Show) Ricky use to say "Lucy you have somesplaining to do!" And this is who we pick to partner with? And once they have the good life like us then where do we go? Recruit tribes in the middle of the dessert? Some planning someone not seeing or getting the big picture. Who knows if some component could have a flaw or have toxic levels inside your computer. That you touch and use everyday? China does not care till we catch them doing wrong. And the US government decides what technology they are allowed to have from the USA. Is any one aware, Hello, Hello, is there any body out there????? They are the largest consumer of armor plating materials, buying up stainless steel at an alarming rate and largest standing army, FOR WHAT REASON?!

Let me give you a real example: an Executive (on the board of directors) at a very big worldwide a big or large company. He bought a Dell for use at home (had them at work...) , had been trying to get through to tech support in India, set his speaker phone on and went to bed it was 5+ hours later that someone who could not speak English very well and could not fix the problem answered. Now do you think he wants to have Dell at work- NO in fact it was brought up the following week, no contracts for Dell were to be renewed and service on site was cancelled not renewed either and so began the phase out of all their products.

As a business customer where you get nicer contracted tech support who might and might not be able to help- but at least you can understand what they are saying.. Who in HELL is doing the marketing - I vision a barrel of monkeys jumping around the room throwing darts at notes on the wall. Or Better yet a bean counter made this decision who had not been with Dell very long. Or maybe a new college kids still wet behind the ears. Sure cut money cut quality and loose your brand .... such a waste.

There rules for a protest. It is still important to get the votes in so someone needs to have the votes signed over to like me. I can't do the protest someone must vote.

However I can guarantee media coverage. No one will want to miss the scoop of a lietime, and the beginning of the end days of Dell as was it Hell!

Voting JULY 17TH 8:OOam BALL ROOM B & C PLEASE VOTE AGAINST THEM the board of directors which also MEANS YOU VOTE AGAINST THE COMPENSATION PACKAGE. I WILL BE GLAD TO TAKE THE HEAT AND VOTE YOUR PROXY.

I HAVE CONTACTED THE EDITOR and other outlets if one carries it then no-one in the media is risking loosing it because it is news. I have done this before. I have hit media out of our immediate area and have a press release ready to go.

However any action is better than just venting here. Decide to take a stand.

Congress is aware and they are working on it.

An action item will be on the proxy next year too. They do not adhere to Robert's rules of order, where they take questions from the floor. But like Pat Benatar "I will hit them with my best shots!" Even kick and screaming my way out!

This is AMERICA the land of the brave- we will not turn into just the land of consumers. Let's not buy stuff made in China- read you labels. Complain that you can't find items made by American made items ask your local stores to show you anything made in AMERICA.

WE NEED AMERICANS WORKING! NOT BUILDING COMMUNIST COUNTY WHO IS NOT OUR FRIEND. IF WE HAVE TO PAY THE CHINESE AND HELP BUILD THEIR COUNTY THEY WILL WANT WHAT WEHAVE IN LIFE STYLE, AND THE LABOR WILL NOT BE CHEAP FOR LONG.

WE WILL BECOME THE LAND OF ONLY CONSUMERS JUST LIKE ENGLAND> WITH VERY BAD JOB PROSPECTS.
