damn you must have worked at roseburg, ambiguity, deal with the unknown... heres your quota for december, then in January hey we actually gave you the wrong quota, it was $X amount more, so none of you hit.

God damn stupid sales managers, I was fed up having a sales manager who knew nothing about a) computers b) never been on the phone at dell c) just tell them they can buy a service plan on there peice of crap computer so they can get paid, and then sell it on DPA, just remember if they object to the 29.99% you can tell them just to pay it off and dont forget to give them the $50 MIR that they will never get. Yeh you have to work 12hours a day then Nick Assanova will come in and ring the bell and shout you over to the trough to get your food, but you better be fast eating it otherwise we will write you up, whats that you dont like that type of food, thats your problem you still only getting 30mins.... hey look theres a prize today whoever can sell 20 systems and have 75% 4 years can get a $10 walmart giftcard that you will never see, as the manager who has them is not in that week, oh Im sorry you child is in a school play this year, but you cant go, CCO wont allow it... then the manager just goes anytime he/she wants..... as they have personnel problems... It looks like it might snow, so dont worry we will allow you to go, but hey you have to a) make the time up and b) we will tell you after they have shut the roads down.

Hey, you forgot the good 'ol trick that if too many sales agents are making goal---i.e 25%, the managers get together and change the goals in the middle of the month. As far as the manager having personnel problems, are you talking about the one who was sued by a rep for sexual harassment? Jack here is the problem you are like the Frog in the pan water on a stove.
This is a fact. Place a frog in a pan of water on a stove burner.
You can raise the temperature of the water slowly and the frog will not jump out of the pan.
He first enjoys the false comfort by the initial heat.
He grows accustom to the heat and as the temperature is raised the frog will boil to death.
Dell is the same way but different and I will tell you how they are different in a minute.
Dell tells you they are a meritocracy right?
That sounds good in that you will get credit for performance!
They tell you their benefits are second to none!
This is great news in this day and time of medical crisis in America!
They surround you with all kind of fuzzy things like "lifestyle and work balance".
You think, here is a company that cares about my family!
They encourage you to lose weight and participate in their health programs.
You think, this is so unusual that a company would care about my health!
And the clincher, like the "lifestyle and work balance" they parade, (now here it comes) "Winning with integrity".
Now you really think, this is a GREAT COMPANY!
Now Jack you have become the frog!
To contrast the "Lifestyle and Work Balance"
They tell you to get ahead you must work bell to bell.
Screw your family!
Screw your health!
Now the temperature of the water is going up!
Instead of letting you boil to death peacefully Dell takes their employees from the boiling water and plunges them into a container of crushed ice then covers them over for the extra shock value!
Jack how is forcing customers not to use their favorite credit card for payment, on their computer and enticing them over to Dells 60 days same as cash "Winning with integrity?".
Dell is not going to invoice those people within 60 days!
Look at the State of NY lawsuit against Dell.
Over 80% of the people who were on promotional financing like 60 days same as cash never were invoiced by Dell.
Jack this is not conjecture this is a documented fact!
Sales reps in Nashville tell about the hundreds of their customers (they placed on 60 days same as cash) calling them and cussing about not getting billed by Dell.
Dell methodically and with great calculation tricked those people into a 29.9% loan.
"Winning with Integrity'?
If they treat their customers without conscience how do you think you will fair any better? Don't be a fool.
Why did the SEC make Dell go back and reinstate accurate numbers going back to 2003?
The SEC said they falsified their books!
Is the SEC lying Jack?
Is the State of NY and about 10 other states around the country (that have and have won class action suits against Dell) wrong?
I have heard of a few people who have been faithful to Dell for 9 years and they were devastated by Dell's "Winning with Integrity."
Kicked to the street with no warning their nine years of faithful investment gone to dust!
Jack find someone or count how many people have been with the company for 10years!
Fast food assistant managers make more money that Dell employees, including Dell managers and that is a fact. There is better employment security in the fast food business.
The employees in the various Tennessee Employment Security offices will seldom give out job recommendations for Dell.
In a legal and ethical way they will tell you of Dells unscrupulous treatment of employees.
Are they crazy as well Jack?

Thank God I had a DFS coach that informed me that a customer can go online to make a payment on their DPA as soon as they receive their DPA card and not have to wait for the statement. I told my whole team and all my customers as well. You think I wanted pissed off customers calling me back about how DHell screwed them on their DPA? Hell no! You can bet that DFS customer care never told people about the online pay option. I got out of sales in mid-2005, so they may have changed the timeline they mail the account cards out by now. _________________ Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia. |

hey guys.........
im still working for dell i survived the layoffs, pretty scary the way you could just lose your job... eventually im going to quit my job, but for me i never considered this employement permanent, its a way for a student to have a job and finish his education, you may have taken from my post that dell was a great job that is FOR LIFE, thats def not the case, its just a way for a sudent like me to make money and finish his education at the same time.. but im still happy with the way things are going, i wasnt denied any vacation time, theres im not feeling pressuring by anyone, im still working from home, i got my bonus and raises cant say anything bad..... in april i will hit the 2 year mark for being with dell ... if anyone has any questions let me know.. |
