| My cursor jumps whenever I am logged into Citrix, or some other client. When do you notice the 'jumping cursor"? |

Osri,
Checked the guy with the curser problem to whom you directed me and he sure purchased a D830 and it also has a MEANDERING CURSER. See; I am not the only one complaining about this issue.
My problem is about to be resolved.. Will advise as soon as it takes place.
Thanks to all for the constructive help.

Yes; but that issue has now been determined that the TOUCHPAD or POINTER has nothing to do with the problem. I have since learned that HARDWARE is the issue and Dell is researching where the problem lies.
If it is located then a recall must be issued and that is extremely costly, not only in dollars and cents, but in reputation. Remember the battery issue? Dell purchased malfunctioning batteries from Sony and bore the brunt of cost with replacements.
Sales fell off & HP slipped back into first place. I dislike HP and still will stay with Dell, however they have to convince the consumer that they will be backed up if a problem ensues.
Large corporations pay the CEOs enormous bonuses to exact profits. In so doing the products are cheapened by inferior merchandise to realize the gains. The consumer and stock holder ends up sufferring and the CEO walks away with a 100 million dollar + bonus. That's corporate America these days. I think I spouted off enough for today. It was busy and productive. Have a great weekend.

Already spoke with Miller (Level 2). Promised to check and never heard from him again
I have now spoken with other people that have recently purchased the D830 and have encountered same situation. Yes; I am a pretty good detective and know my way around. Therefore, at the moment I am not saying much because MY problem is now in the process of being resolved. When completed; I will perhaps post again. You can stop picking on me, but continue if it makes you feel better. Perhaps you can learn a thing or two from my bantering. I am here to learn and help.
NUFF SAID!!!!

Funny. This has got to be Boiney's problem. There are many laptops that have issues with mice and terminal windows. Has something to do with the driver, the actual mouse settings and the latency of the connection.
I experienced it myself on a Latitude and then on an Acer, using a Citrix client and a usb mouse a few years ago.
Changed the mouse...was fine from there on out. |

holy crap. The jumping cursor is a known issue with Dell since how long?
6 Years?
And they still could not fix it.
Awesome R&D! Oh wait, Dell has no R&D. |
