I bougt a Dell Axim.. mistake #1. Purchased it on 9/2 with 2 day shipping. Got and email that SAID it was shipped on 9/3. Well I should have had it on 9/7. Checked tracking, said that it had been scanned and was in TN. This was on 9/7. I am in NC, so how is it going to be here??? Called UPS they said they didnt have it, so called DELL. After 5 phone calls and major frustration at getting automated systems I get some non-english speaking person telling me my package was in transit and I have to call back tomorrow before they could do anything. Thats today. I call today and what do you think, no change, call back tomorrow. NO WAY! I ask fo a mgr who tells me that they have to do a trace which takes 3-5 days THEN they can ship out a new one which takes ANOTHER 3-5 days which puts me somewhere around the week of the 19th before I get my product that I ordered on the 2nd WITH 2 DAY SHIPPING!!!! And all they were willing to do was refund my shipping. OH Joy! $10 off on a $500 product for all this hassle. They keep blaming UPS, who blames Dell and meanwhile, I have no PDA!!! Tell me they couldnt have shipped one out today and had it here tomorrow which is when I reeeaaallly needed it by... I will never buy Dell again. What is going to happen if God forbid I have a warranty claim??DELL SUCKS!!!! |

Does the shipping label has another address than yours
If so, the package must be re routed, that would take 3-5 business days.
Is the package lost in transit
Then Dell must send you an Exchange which takes 5-7 business days.
10 bucks is all they will offer
Yes, you paid $10 for two day shipping.
If you paid with your Credit Card call them and tell them to cancel the payment. If you opened a Dell Preferred Account then you are a lost soul.
Please keep us posted. _________________ I see DELL people!!

1.yes it is coming to my office.. never have things shipped to home, they get stolen.
2. Yes it was "supposedly" lost in transit although UPS says they never got it and dell said they sent it out.
3. Yes all they would offer was the refund in shipping ($10). A refund in shipping isnt crap after everything I went through. If I didnt really need the PDA to begin with I would have the whole transaction cancelled, but thats why I purchased one in the first place!
Will update my spot in hell as things transpire. I am SUPPOSED to hear from the CS mgr early next week as to the staus of my trace. We will see if that ever takes place. I think I will hear from Santa or the Tooth fairy first. |

What I meant with another ship to address is that if the label has another address than the one you chose, the package must be re routed through a form which can only be filled out by a Dell CC rep.
UPS may or maynot have lost it, you'll never know. Chances are 50-50.
I really doubt you'll ever recieve that phone call. I hope things get straight and you can use your PDA. _________________ I see DELL people!!

| update... called today to apparently torture myself... once again.. "call back next business day, we cant start any process until the full day has passed". what crap. They still arent willing to offer any discount off my PDA for any of the hassle they have put me through, and I STILL dont have a PDA nor can they tell me where it is. Everytime I call all they do is track it on UPS. Duh, I can do that myself, NOTHING HAS CHANGED !!!!! "Sorry we cant do that, we would lose money". yeah right. And again they end the call with thanks for calling dell can I help you with anything else... uhhh no you havent helped me yet! |

Yeah, that's part of the closing script...which was made between Dell Management and Dell's Quality Audit team, you can see how smart they are, that the reps are forced to follow it no matter what
Did Dell send out another PDA If so, you should have an Exchange #, and a new tracking #.
No, I re read your post and from what I can see is the same order with the same tracking #. Ask to the rep if he/she filled out the Logistics Form in Livewire asking for tracking info.
What does the UPS website shows Billing info recieved and nothing else? There is no estimated delivery date?
Thank you for taking the time to post here. _________________ I see DELL people!!

| No, dell doesn't own HP, but dell does produce both Dell tvs and dell handhelds... thats why they both have dell in their name. |

They pretty much do - probably less than 50% of their pcs manage to make it online before breaking down (there are the ones that never get to their customers, the ones that get to their customers broken, the ones that the customer can't figure out how to set up to go online...), so thats pretty much a blanket anti-dell website ban on those pcs. |
