If the employee is the meat in the sandwich. Change the sandwich.
IF the rock bottom pricing and awesome technology do not offset the sort of treatment... change suppliers.
but first get the money back for being messed about by a series of easily avoidable errors
finally, being given written and verbal assurances that matters will be addressed and falling short.. simply not good enough. Escalation is limited to the call centre staff who unfairly must field calls that they are not authorised or empowered to deal with.

What in the hell does that mean? You sound like a lawsuit baiter. If you can convince the system that Dell caused a miscarriage you have a big career in law ahead of you. (complete with some strange slang) |

Let's just say Dell has NEVER laid off a lawyer. That doesn't make it impossible, the attorney general of New York State is going after Dell. But the AG is wagering political capital, you'd be wagering dollar-valued capital. There are ways around that and people have done it. It can be satisfying, but it's harder to make it practical. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist

Sure pal... peaceful and all... yet you want people to lose their jobs close to the holidays when bills are usually higher and there are added expenses?
I am sorry you are having a problem with Dell, but it isn't the employees fault, they are just following the instructions they are given by upper management, the same way you do things at work regardless of whether you necessarily agree with them or not... your boss told you to, and his told him to make sure it was done that way, etc etc etc.
So instead, escalate it up the ladder and seek a resolution, but don't be an asshole and try to cost people their jobs on the holidays because you want to be a dick and CLAIM you are trying to be peaceful. Cause anyone who has that mentallity is just a dick. _________________ I crossed over to the Dark Side... fortunately I brought a flashlight! |

Let's not overreact, Jedi. Dell is not going to fire anyone on the word or actions of a customer. Besides that, they'll fire you before, during, or after the holidays with complete indifference. And you know as well as I do it's entirely at their whim and completely disassociated from performance. _________________ Rocke T Sinetist
