...if I can just sell one more box I won't loose my job. Come on guest_s. IF you were that good why weren't you offered a job w/ BSD and EPP when they came to the site 2 weeks ago? That is about the only way you can change things.

You are more than welcome to laugh as each day we predict the site to close passes as long as I can laugh the day it does.

First time to post on this website but a long time reader. I used to love reading this site when I was managing in OKC, but what they are doing in McGregor is crap. I came from the Waco site and transefered to OKC when it first opened so I have a lot of long time friends that are there. I have some inside information that the ASM's and the SM are looking for "apartments" in Austin. Now why would they be looking for apartments if they live in Hewitt. Sounds kinda of fishy. If you are in the McGregor call center tough it out for a few more weeks and get your unemployment, and if you are offered a job in Austin make sure that you are not going to ATG or DHS (or whatever they call it now) becuase it is coming to them as well. When I left Dell in late 05' there was talk that all satilite centers would be closing and all the RR operations would be moved to OKC because of the 40 million dollars that they gave them to open the site there. Think what you want about rumors or not but if you work in McGregor and are a SM or lower dont expect to finish out the month there. And if you transferred to Austin good luck because Dell is going down the sh*t hole fast. Get out while you can, it did my career wounders.

I am also work in mcg and we know its coming just waiting on the ax to hit can anyone from roseburg tell us more details about the closing or if anyone out there has heard a real date that it will happen , also can you give us a pretty close idea as to the amount we are talking for the package=

They gave me three amounts... one for 2 months salery, which was around $4900, one for cobra payments around $4200 (this amount might change depending on how much insurance you had) and another for around $1700.... the kicker here is the tax you pay... the big amounts, were about $2400 each after tax, and the other one was around $1100-1200.

However we all signed up for unemployment pretty much right away and then TUI...

thanks for the info -it is friday morning oct 5 and it is already all over the news that they are doing it today , chris blaine told the managers yesterday that he had to have a meeting with them before the morning huddle ( tells you its going to be today ) the chat team was informed they HAD to be in huddle and on time lol I am ready I took my stuff home a long time ago. some of the people have already seen that the extra check like your 1700 is showing in bank accounts , I cant check mine cause it wont show till later today , some of the older reps got 1400 which is what I should get or close to since I have been there longer than most of them-well will let you guys know how it goes :

well its all over lol guess the ones that didnt believe do now it all went down just like you guys said it would only difference is they didnt say we only had 30 min to clear out or that they would send us our stuff they let us go to desks and get it =funny none of the managers were anywhere to be found after it happened or chris blain lol
