I dunno, maybe it's just me, but in Edmonton, things don't seem that bad. Any agreements or disagreements?

I like it at Dell Edm as well. I've only been here a short time, but I like the environment, the scenery, the L2s, people throwing paper airplanes, and lack of rules (against eating ect.)

I came from Convergys where the chairs were shittier, had to share desks, everything was dirty, people would be hanging over your shoulder after 10 minutes on a call because you're taking too long. Get in huge shit for eating or listening to music at your desk, or puttin' your feet up somwhere.

Yeah so, so far, best job I've had yet.

Wait, you guys can listen to music at your desk. The only ones that can do that here are the higher up people, and there music sucks and they play it so loud everyone can hear it, and it makes you want to tell them to just shove it if we cant listen to what we want but they can

Can't really say anything about Edm since i'm further east of you (no not the middle east). Here where I work, it's not a relaxed environment. It's extremely pressuring in almost every aspect. Along with what youradouche said, higher ups here can listen to music and everything, we're not even allowed to read the newspaper online for fear of it "Interfering with our job". I'm surprised we're even allowed breaks. The job itself isn't bad, but management needs to be more organized or at least have some idea of what they're doing.

okay here's the deal, Dell's a means to a paycheck, yes I like that I can walk in with my iPod, wear a hat and sandles, but I know that 1 word from a manager I can be walked, but that's the world we live in, bitching is fun but I like being a F-ing Dellianare
