Yep, all good tips and I've now done them all hoping that my 5100 will last until the lease runs out in another YEAR. I have no real hope that this will be the end of my problems with this system. And, it irks the hell out of me that I even to do all these patch jobs on my own and with my money when Dell is going to end up getting $3000. from me by the time the lease is up. For $3000, my 5th Dell.... I expected better.

Live and learn - I've learned that next time I'm going to give it a go and try building my own - with all the crap I've had to do to this system, including replacing numerous parts myself, I think I can handle it and, then if something craps out or doesn't work, I'll have no one to blame but myself! And I can talk myself thru it, in ENGLISH.

MerWix - you been thru it all it seems. Does it seems as strange to you as it does to me that we're spending all this money and still have to patch up these pieces of crap on our time and for even more money?
